Everytime Kamikaze goes shopping he don't play around :whew:

Congrats on the new job too bruh, forreal! Keep going man.

Also when it comes to Premiere vs. FCPX....the biggest thing is those render time. FCPX is light years faster.
:heh: Yeah, I gotta keep investing in the business. The better I get, the further I want to experiment with different gear / setups. For pictures I'm loving the A7Riii. The amount of information this thing captures is incredible. I always try to get my shots as close to perfect in camera but I've had a few situations where I couldn't really get what I wanted in the limited time frame. Taking the images into light room I've been able to work wonders. I wish it did video on par with my GH5 but as a stills camera, it can't be touched. I'm about to invest in at least 2 more lenses. The next one I'm getting is the Sony 85mm.
Thanks for the congratulations. :SNAKESALUTE: My last day of work at my current job is this Friday. I'm taking all of next week off and starting the new job on the 10th.

So, I'm looking to get into photography and had a cutla questions. I didn't see a FAQ, but I didn't look too hard for it either, so... :yeshrug:

What's a relatively inexpensive camera for a newb? I don't want to break the bank just in case photography isn't for me, but I also don't want a wack camera.

I'm not looking to be a pro or anything, so I'm wondering if going out once a week for a couple of hours would be sufficient enough to improve over time? How often are you guys going out?

no FAQ, just a bunch of brehs taking pictures...
Camera question: In my most humble opnion.. it doesnt fukkin matter which camera, what does matter is how the camera feels in your hand.
what is your budget for a camera? then brehs can give you options in that price range... a good lens can, at times, cost more than the camera, so be aware of that.

the more you shoot, the faster you'll get better (usually). as far as me, i shoot almost everyday, BUT i guess i'm some kinda half ass professional.

I really need a wide angle lens for those interior kind of shots
:noah:
The Sony 16-35mm g master full frame lens is my favorite lens right now. That lens on the a7riii is the cheat code for real estate pictures. I got it for $2,100 on B&H. I want to get an 85mm lens for the Sony next for portrait shots. Then I’ll probably get the 24-70mm lens and be done with glass for a little while.

The a7riii is definitely a beast, being able to crop in 50% into the photo and still getting ridiculous resolution :wow:.

You're probably looking at the 85 f1.4, if you haven't already check out some comparisons between that and the 1.8. Most say the difference between the two don't justify getting the 1.4, especially since these are beast in terms of iso and noise.

I need some 5 figure gigs before I can get a 2k lens right now.

I've been thinking about the 10-18mm for a while now because it's one of the few E-mount crop lenses that works on full frame sensors without the vignetting. So I'll be able to use it on my backup cam A6000 and my main cam without much compromise.

I have the 85mm, f1.8, it's a dope value and it's not crazy big like others at that focal length

If you have a new phone with a nice camera, start with that.

Download Snapseed and play around with editing your photos and then you can at least get a feel for the process. Instagram let's you make edits as well. Just don't go crazy with the filters
