This is dope, I have some ideas for some stories that I want to bring to life, but I know I have to really dig in and actually write it out. These are some photos I took on a feature film set I crewed on last week, I was 1st AC. The film is called E-14, it'll be coming out later this year. The film follows multiple characters who all live on/work on International Blvd (E-14th) and looks at how the prostitution and poverty that the strip is notorious for intersects with gentrification, immigration and the multiple ethnic groups that live on the street. The film is micro-budget (i.e. less than $100,000) and the crew on the project is predominantly Oakland/Richmond natives including the screenwriting team. the DP is somebody with an extensive documentary and commercial project background, this is his first narrative feature film along with the majority of the crew. I've worked on one narrative feature before this but this project is lightyears more ambitious and better-written than the last project I was on lol.
The film won't be edited for another couple months but since I was pulling focus and etc. on the majority of the set-ups I can definitely say that most of the material we got was from a visual standpoint.
How long have the writers been working on the script/screenplay?
