The fuji 50-140 f/2.8 def came through in the clutch for stage shots close-ups without a flash. This shyt was a lot of work, but worth the pay solo. Next time I will hire an assistant though.

I previously did a baby shower for someone and their mother works at this organization. The mother kept me in mind when this event came around and asked if I'd be able to do it. I'm happy it worked out. Hopefully I can do their future events which are between D.C. and NYC.

So, for the portraits I used my 23mm 1.4 with a flash.

I used flash a 1/4 flash level with the 50-140mm with the candids of people at the tables.

For the stage shots I used the 50-140 between f 3.2 and 2.8 with no flash.

I am very big on skin tones looking as accurate as possible.

I ask cuz i might be switching to the x-t/x-h1/x-t3 in a few weeks. i shoot a few corporate events as well. i can get useable shots from the d750 at 6400-800 ISO. i rock with a flash with a remote trigger, but sometimes i cant use the flash.

I forgot to mention the iso...for the no flash I kept it between 3200 and 4000 and my cam combo was the x-t1 for group and x-t3 for zoom shots. I personally avoided the H1 because the battery grip was needed just to get some of the features working to their maximum. That wasn't needed with the x-t3. But the H1 does have the stability advantage for low light.
