I'm kinda trash at this, but my son was born yesterday, this is right after his first bath lol

Nikon D7000, with the stock 18-55 AF-S NIKKOR lens 3.5-5.6 GII. I definitely need to step my equipment game up and that's where I can use help from this forum.

dont worry about equipment my guy. it was old dudes getting shots with film cameras wit no LCD and just a 50mm lens. you got better equipment right now than the GOATS Jamel Shabazz and Gordon Parks had.. just take pictures congrats

I would love to cop, but I'm waiting on Nikon to announce the D750 successor. Wanna see what they do with that.

Thats the successor to the D810, a more higher echelon camera.

D750 fills the gap between D610 and D850.

its a great camera, but Sony A7iii is newer, and pretty much ate its food, which means the D750 successor should be a good response from Nikon.

I got a d750 and i'm paying attention to this nikon mirrorless shyt. my d750 still Great. if nikon mirrorless trash, i'ma just go fuji. my cousin by tryin to convert me to sony... i just dont like them cameras for me.

man im tempted to buy it just for the eye focusing alone. ive tried it, its ridiculous. your cousin is probably giving you good advice, Sony came thru hard.
but it does at least make sense to wait and see what the Nikon/Canon competitors will offer. If theres no eye focus though, im out.

I Just don’t how the camera feels in my hands. I’ve shot Sony’s beforehand and I gotta use one for work next weekend.
I’m trying to get away from portraits so the eye AF isn’t a deal breaker.
Sony just ain’t for me, at least I’m not spending my money on a Sony

I copped the A7iii a few weeks ago, thing been sold out everywhere, so I had it on backorder.

I'm already familiar with Sony's cameras coming from the A6000, so it wasn't even a question for me. Plus I intend on shooting a lot of video, so really it wasn't even a hard decision. Look at all the dinosaurs trying to play catch up with the tech that Sony is offering for the price. The only thing they have a disadvantage is the price of the glass. The tech and the value you get for 2 racks in this camera is what's fukking the game up right now

Are the e-mount lenses compatible with the a7 line?
