what did you have before this... how are the other A7's like the 1 and 2??I copped the A7iii a few weeks ago, thing been sold out everywhere, so I had it on backorder.
I'm already familiar with Sony's cameras coming from the A6000, so it wasn't even a question for me. Plus I intend on shooting a lot of video, so really it wasn't even a hard decision. Look at all the dinosaurs trying to play catch up with the tech that Sony is offering for the price. The only thing they have a disadvantage is the price of the glass. The tech and the value you get for 2 racks in this camera is what's fukking the game up right now
I've had my Nikon D5300 for about 3 years.. I have 4 lenses and I'd say it didn't even cost me $1000 total. So making this huge $2200 (with 1 lens) jump is crazy to me. I mean is it THAT good? Can you hit us with some pics when you get yours up and running. I want it so bad, but I keep talking myself out of it

i'm not mr glove, but if you got a camera store, or best buy, take an SD card and go shoot the camera. my main cameras are d750 and x-t1. i shoot with a sony a7II sometimes when i do work with my cousin. Images out of my d750 are better, and the focus is better on the d750 than the a7II. also, the grip on the a7ii sucks.
a7III has the godly autofocus now tho. and the grip feels better, but still feels weird in my hands, the high ISO on the a7III is a little better than d750, but not by a lot.
I was using an A6000.
The A71 and 2 were aight from what I read, but neither were good enough to make me want to make the move. The A7iii is a beast in the video department as well as a good still camera. It's an upgrade in every way compared to the previous joints, from the focusing points, to the silent shooting, to the video performance, low light/high ISO, much better battery life. And it's in a compact body, not as compact as the A6500, but more so than comparable Nikon and Canon cameras.
There's a ton of Youtube videos with comparisons and what the camera has to offer.
Something to let ride when yal out shooting this summer... first of many to come

Best Buy. When I was looking at the various sites, they had the quickest turn around time.
Amazon was saying they wouldn't be able to ship until the end of July
B&H Photo would have been my 2nd choice because they had em sooner as well.
