Ok, and i take it the GH5 or the G85 doesnt come with 35mm lens

last stupid question for the brehs

When i use the 35mm does it automatically give me those cinematic black bars on the top and bottom? I like that... I like that alot

i think the 35mm focal length equivalent for that panasonic is like a 17mm or some shyt, i dont fukk wit them micro 4/3 cameras tho :scust:

the black bars are added in whatever editing program you use my breh

So for the focal length that I gave, I was referencing what a full frame sensor's standard is for film... which is 35mm. If you don't have a full frame camera, then you have to apply whatever your camera's crop factor is to get to the comparable full frame length

I just googled the GH5 and G85 sensor sizes... they have a 4/3rds sensor. Which has a 2X crop factor when compared to full frame. So in order to get those cameras to have the look of a the full frame focal length of 35mm, you need to have a lens that's around 17mm on the GH5 or G85. I'm sure the kit lens that comes with either camera covers that length but since they aren't prime lenses they won't be dope in low light situations

I shoot with the Sony A6000 which has an APC-S sensor that has a 1.5X crop factor so if I want to have something with a cinematic focal length, I have to shoot at 24mm.

Hope that helps

The bigger the sensor the better low light performance and image detail that's retained. The 4/3rds is smaller, but people do great work with them. The APC-S is a little bit bigger, but I don't know much about the GH5 and the G85 to speak on their pros and cons like that. Researching what the best cam is for you can be a chore because there's a lot of options and a lot of things to consider.

And yeah, of course you can get a prime lens, lol... just have to buy it.

The newer models of my camera both shoot 4K. Look up the Sony A6300 and the A6500

It's the type of sensor that Sony uses on some of their mirrorless cameras... specifically the A6000, 6300 and 6500 and the older NEX series joints

Alright im rolling with the sony, it gets more of the image per picture and video.

I wanted 4k recording but the a6000 might do the job.

If you can afford a little bit more, I would just get the A6300... it's better for video because you can use external mics with it. On the A6000 you're options are limited in comparison.
Sony a6300 vs a6000 Comparison โ€“ Whatโ€™s Changed?

Look at the difference in the video recording section breh.

:whoa:

Just get the A6300

In the videos I posted can you tell me the FPS used ? Is it 60 ?
you should be able to right click on the youtube video and see the "stats for nerds" or whatever they call it.

edit: I don't know if will tell you a lot. I think it should tell you frame rates that the videos are rendered in though. Like sometimes someone might record in 60 fps or 120 fps for slow motion but render the footage at 30 fps.

m4/3 isnt trash... i just cant jiggy with the low light performance and autofocus issues people be having. If all i did were landscapes then m4/3 would be fine. if youre only doing video with good light then those cameras are fine.

I'll grab a prime lense and start my journey to being a master of high quality content

So what photo editing software yall rocking with:lupe:

I'm torn between Affinity (due to the one time purchase and customization options) and Corel Paintshop which seems a bit underrated in the photography game. I don't want to drop 9.99 a month for Photoshop:camby:
