I'm getting my 85 1.8 in the mail today

Can't wait to try it out :noah:
I just got one. One of my favorite lenses but you need the right opportunity to use it. GOAT environmental portrait lens. I got it to do a maternity shoot with my wife, and the pictures came out phenomenal. Some of the best photos I've ever taken :krs: I always knew I wanted something longer than a 50 but I thought it would be like a 55 or 58. But the 85 is it. Now I just use my 50 for street photography and outdoor events.

I thought about a 70-200 2.8 but they are too fukking big heavy for just walking around and being candid with. That's more my style. I didn't think I would like the 85 as much as I do but I'm itching for another opportunity to use it.

the 85mm
might become my fav lens, no flash, no post processing

the good thing about having nieces and nephews that live close to you, you'll always have something to shoot

I want to learn about flash photography and it’s applications. I already got one external and I want to know more about it’s uses. HSS and all that.

i have two flashes, i just recently got triggers and been having fun with em. I don't know anything about flash photography but id recommend getting one with E-TTL

i have two yongnuos never had a canon flash

50 still has its use. That's the great thing about primes; they each have their own character. Plus they are lighter and more discreet if you don't get something crazy.

And yea its a beautiful thing :wow:

You may never take that 85mm off for awhile. For portraits it's hard to beat.

I've seen some great results with that exact setup. Was down in Miami, Florida years ago doing photography for the Hot Import Nights tuner show. A bunch of us photographers and models got a nice hotel room and decided to use it for a few photoshoots, the equipment we used was what you have, external flashes with tripods and mini umbrella's, pics came out great.

IG finally lets your follow hashtags. :ehh: I remember this old app called Streamzoo had this feature. It was a good feature. Now any thing under like "#highspeedsync" or "offcameraflash" will show up in the normal feed.

thank you breh.

I wonder if people will stop following people, and just follow hashtags
followers might go up because somebody that's in your lane that you don't follow will show up in your feed with a good photo because they used a hashtag you follow. I'll probably stop following a lot of those feature accounts.
