Yea, that exact size is what I use. I raise my stands up to just under 8ft and roll out 3-4ft of paper at that bottom. I have carpet in my place so a long time ago I bought a 4 x 8ft piece of 3/4 MDF, I put that down as a floor for people to stand, walk, and sit on. 36ft of paper can last awhile too, I have 9 different colors. I'll up some pics of the setup.

This from the last shoot I did, this roll is pretty much empty but I've had it for years. I use thumbtacks to pin the paper to the MDF board, pretty basic setup but it works.

I have 2 Alien Bee B800 strobes, a 47" octabox, 22" beauty dish, and a 40" x 56" softbox. Most of the lighting setup I do is the just the beauty dish in the front so it creates a solo lighting effect around the model. The shots I posted above were with just the one beautydish in front, center, I shoot next to it. Other setups I would have a light at opposite corners to light the front with just a bit of shadow and light the back opposite as well. I need to get one more B800 for what I am working on doing.
