I hear you on that commercial aspect of the game. That's where the bag is... and they cut the check without any bullshyt.

One of my guys hit me up a few weeks ago asking me how much for 2 in-studio images would be. I'm like, that's not how shyt works at all, didn't even entertain the shyt at all.

Fill out an automated media request form for them to ignore. And most all of the venues give you shyt for trying to get in with a legit camera

What lens you using for event photography?

35mm and 50mm

I have an 85mm that will be good for closer shots at concerts, but I just got it a few months ago and I haven't used it at a show yet.

live nation sucks dikk fukk them If you can, go straight to the artist, even an opening act, and they'll be way more helpfull if you canget in contact

but ya right now im focused more on the commercial side. I worked with a lot of up and coming musicians, some even signed to labels. I barely made anything but there was always the promise of bigger and better things once they got on....that never happens.

this is very good shyt. Thats where the real bread is. IG is kinda hurting this part of the game

I called up there saying I was following up about a request I submitted weeks ago. bytch going to say, "the passes haven't been confirmed yet"... but the concert was the next day. I wanted to just say fukk you and hang up at that point.

yeah I dont fukk wit them nikkas. Best route actually is hit up music blogs in the chi, like 5 magazine(the house and techno tho) or fakeshoredrive type nikkas.

"There's a segment of art that is weird for the sake of being weird in an attempt to exclude large swaths of the population. The judge who awarded this a top prize is perpetuating nonsense and doing a real disservice to those photographers who toil perfecting their craft. This was a photography competition and pretentious abstract art won.

Imagine having your gorgeous work usurped by chicken scratch and drool."
