Interesting. I thought the opposite.
Felt everything was too centered. Rule of thirds would have helped in some shots. Just my opinion. No disrespect.
i stopped following rule of thirds a while ago. it's one of those things that's cool to know when learning, but i just don't care about that anymore.

Fair enough although I don't like the implication that the rule of thirds is some amateur bullshyt.

Almost all great photography, even today tends to follow it.

i dont mind it for these kinds of portraits. the converging lines lead to the subject. but i feel you on rule of thirds type stuff

you figure out how much you charge an hour, add in how much time you think it will take to edit, travel time.

i charge 75-100 an hour depending on what it is. but i dont just shoot broads, i actually dont even like shooting broads. I do events, and brand related shyt. the broads typically dont have any money. a lot of people shooting broads is just doing it as a trade, and they arent charging. :manny:

I know you don't want to hear it depends, however it is true, you have to base your pricing on your area market. If I charge a model $100 for an hour of shooting in my Cleveland area, that price is going to differ from city to city and state to state. Easiest thing to do is find out what the other photographers in your area are charging and be competitive with rates. To answer your question as for me personally, I've done trade shoots that have turned into published magazine features all the way to $100/hr.

It does depend lol

I don't really shoot aspiring models anymore but when I did I rarely charged. I just shot the best people to make my portfolio hot so I can get away with 10k commissions for the labels, brands, and magazines.

Rented a 70-200mm lens 2.8 lens and I'm gonna go pick it up today. Can't wait to go out and take some photos

Man between this thread and the do photographers get p*ssy like that thread im gonna have to study this for a long time through Youtube and other online sources

all the terminology/devices man this is alot to keep in lol

ill keep at it though

Honestly once you get the camera the hard part is just understanding ISO, aperture, and shutter speed. After that it's just learning how to use lighting and get the best out of your camera and lens.
