I trained Sheng Long and Shonuff
I'm having some issues getting autofocus to work properly on my D7100. When I half press the shutter button, the autofocus tries to lock on the target but too often I have to use manual focus to get my shot. Plus the motor in the lens sounds like it's struggling sometimes (Nikon 50mm AF-S 1.8).
Anyone got any advice? I'm wondering if the lens is broken.

I tried both, mainly shoot in AF-S though.
Might be the lens. Check and see if the focusing works on each focus point or zone.does focus work with others lenses?

Are there any good apps that take advantage of the new iphones latest camera 
Do you have the lens in auto focus and the camera in manual by mistake? Check your switches.
Also, fukk shutter button focusing, watch this video and set yourself up with some back focus goodness.
(I know it's for the d750, but the menus are basically identical in the d7100)
Went through some old raw files I never touched before until this week.

some when i used the d7100 i kinda kept that bytch in af-c, d9 i felt like it focused quicker. only time i used af-s was if i was doing portraits. it might be the lens tho.

Back-button focusing is the truth. Makes shooting way more easier
I've got to retry this. I did it once. Wasn't too fond of it.
