Nice interview, congrats on that. I can definitely agree with you on the publishing part, there is almost nothing like seeing your work in print. Definitely some stuff in that interview I can relate to. :salute:
I just got a letter in the mail, saying I was a finalist for the Photographer's Forum best of College and High School Photography it will be published in the Hardcover book. I have to wait a couple weeks to see if if im an honorable mention or if I place and get money. But usually when im published it's in the newspaper or online, but it will be good to see my stuff in a high quality print that I didn't print myself.

:salute: congrats on that. I've had some images in magazines and catalogs, definitely a good feeling.

Brehz, I need some recommendations for lighting such as soft boxes and what not.

nice flicks guys. i'll share my site/photos once i get it up in the coming weeks. great to have a community of shooters shootin :wow:

has anyone ever sold prints before? im a student, looking for a way to make money while i sleep/do homework. :(

Alien bees most definitely are the way to go. Great price for great quality and great customer service should something go wrong; more than enough power/light. i have 2 400s with the umbrella kit or whatever. i suck at using them because im not well versed in portraiture but a lot of power and a great system to work with. easy to set up with canon os at least

Definitely the Alien Bee strobes, I have 2 B800's with wireless triggers from Adorama, a 47" octabox, beauty dish and 40" softbox. The octabox and dish are from Alien Bee/Paul C Buff, the softbox is from Larson, both good reputable companies.

The Boom Bap Era
Picking up a Sony a5100 soon. Any tips?

BTW this thread CONTINUES do deliver :wow:
I was looking into the same one but i'm thinking of going up to the a6000 since it's similar to the 5100... except it has an EVF and dials. Also, I think the a6100 is dropping in March so a price drop to the a6000 might be coming.
