your area of focus should have been a little bit higher, and to the left


to other brehs, if u fukking with a ttl flash, what u working with? or do u say fukk a flash and up that iso in low light settings

i use flash and high ISO, they come out over exposed and I level it out in post processing.

I have an SB-600 but I use the embedded fuji x100 most of the time.

Sometimes ill use the sb600 hand held though or ill get someone to hold it.

I stick to iso 800-1000 for night time shots
Flash: SB-600
I used to use a white flash card attached with a rubber band to bounce the flash.

Now I use the Gary Fong Collapsible Light Sphere

what did you use to get that effect in the first picture i've used portaiture before for game covers and what not but i dont even remember how i did it like this picture here

Looks like it was shot with a very low aperture w/ contrast and detail increased to the max in post editing.

i made this last fall and cant remember for the life of me how i did it

I shot this photo with a big aperture and medium iso. Evened out some of the high level tones and added slight grain. Made is contrasty in Color Efx and boom. Glad you like it man. I like your photo as well....but down with "Cittay"! LFC

A way we can utilize vbookie and prevent artist block is by using a theme for each contest.

Best B&W photo.
Best photo using only natural light (no flash)
Best photo that utilizes 2 candlesticks (or other random item)
Etc

This will force everyone out of their comfort zone and keep things challenging.

Let the coli vote and winner gets coli cash and their photo and website on the front page of the coli blog.
