Anybody playing 120fps on series X?

is the graphics trade off worth it?

My TV only does 1080p at 120fps

My eyes had to adjust to it but its definitely better for aiming. You can switch between the two in real time to see the difference. In 120fps mode it has dynamic resolution from 1080-1440p so it should look good on your TV. The graphics trade off is only noticeable in the menus like when you're changing your armor. Some of the tiny details in textures aren't as smooth, but that's pretty much it.

Only thing I would like is a dedicated slayer playlist. It feels weird not seeing that as that's a Halo staple imo.

I only played like 4 matches and it's definitely smoother and more polished than the last beta obviously. No real complaints other than I had a crash after two matches.

How do you make sure you are in 120fps mode?

In the options it says I’m in “quality” mode but it’s grayed out so I can’t change it?

There should be a toggle for Quality and Performance, performance gives you the 120 fps. You may need to adjust the video settings/refresh rate on your console to get it to show. I was playing the test flights on an older 1080/60hz TV and never had the option before, but I got a new TV and have everything set to 4k/120hz now

In the Xbox settings I can go change it to 1080p 120fps.

But when I open the actual Halo game and go to settings the option to turn on performance mode is grayed out, I can’t select it.

Maybe a bug or something specific to my tv but fukk it. Ima play it how I been playing :ehh:
