I'm pretty sure derek carr will be there in the second round early if not hell a.j. mccarron there zach mettenberger or garoppolo i mean wtf

u don't move down when u can have the possible next ray lewis or derek thomas in mack at 5 or the next michael irvin in sammy watkins

if u want derek carr so fukking bad then give up your 2015 2nd round pick to a team picking late in the first round then.

i swear this team has no clue when it comes to the nfl draft

Most good quarterbacks have had great quarterbacks starting for years and they are shown the ropes until its there time. Pryor didnt have that and he is one who would of benefited from one of those situations. Is that guaranteed for every team and every situation? No, but it doesn't hurt having him on the roster and learning from someone. Were rebuilding and going to keep rebuilding for a while, why not have someone who's passionate about the team in the rebuilding process, what worse can he do then everyone else in the last 10 years?

What difference does time make for us, yeah were all tired of waiting and I was one of the ones who bytched about it for years, but fukk it, there's nothing more we can do but wait until we get it right, and yeah these are good pics but McKenzie and Allen will never be the answers to a permanent solution. Schaub was great the last 5 years and hopefully i'm wrong and he is the one to bring us any kind of hope, but if he isn't i'm not going to asking any favors, he deserves to be gone like McKenzie and Allen

Fair point, but it also appears Pryor doesn't want to wait and "develop". He wants to compete now for a starting gig, (cant blame him) but he just might find himself out of the league like Tebow if he insists that he's only willing to come on to have a chance to start at QB.

If McKenzie gets the boot after another terrible season, I will look forward to the next regime capitalizing on how well he set them up. Mark Davis has to show that he's not impatient like his dad and willing to give people a fair chance to right the ship if he ever wants somebody with more credibility to take on the job after Reggie. There's a reason why we have a 1st time GM and 1st time Coach in McKenzie and Allen. Al Davis did his son no favors with how he treated previous coaches and dumping them left and right.

Wrong, he threw Pryor under the bus multiple times, especially when shyt hit the fan.

When was this? I don't seem to remember him doing this. I do recall Pryor's agent making some over the top accusations and Pryor firing his agent as a result.

Allen is such a piece of shyt. Pryor basically saved his ass with those couple wins.
I didn't wanna give up on him yet but it's obvious he wasn't ready to be a starting QB. We should have signed Vick and have Pryor learn from him for a season but instead they go with these 2 cacs (possibly 3rd in Carr) cause they like pocket passers:mjpls:

Carr is gonna be trash just like his brother. Shaub and Mccac are :trash: too seriously how does Mccac warrant all this praise when he was arguably worse than Pryor?:pacspit: This team has no direction fire these a$$holes and sell the team. I'm tired of this shyt.

We had all this money and we end up signing a bunch of :flabbynsick: nikkaz who just looking to get paid. We are probably looking at another 4-12 season:manny:

Why wait and develop now when you got the taste of a starting job. They pushed him too fast cause people were clamoring for it and that was our fault too, so if I was him id want to compete in a starting gig too, why not? shyt, Matt Flynn won one game in GB that had people thinking he's the next Montana, I can do the same too :heh:

After several games and even more when McGloin was in and not cutting it. Reporters brought up Pryor and he said he lied and he is not our quarterback, he distanced himself but sure took the praise when Pryor won

I agree, if Mack or Watkins is at 5, you better keep that pick. But if it's just Mack, I think we can still trade down and pick up Barr or something later on.

I understand your frustration bruh, Quik and I been here for damn near a decade upset with all the band aids of free agent signings. You have to realize that a lot of the late 20 somethings dont get to sniff free agency, on top of the stigma of nobody wanting to play for Oakland. This stigma predates Allen and McKenzie's time here. The only studs available outside of Revis (who didn't want to come here) and Byrd, had transitional and franchise tags, costing us draft picks to sign. If Al was still alive and had this cap room (but we wouldn't) he would have blown it all on an aging Demarcus Ware, Julius Peppers and probably forfeited 2 first round picks to pry away Jimmy Graham.

For the players he was able to bring in at the low commitment and short contract (unlike Al Davis did), I applaud Reggie. Change the culture first with winners, and hope they can help recruit other players.

I don't see how you can pass on Mack knowing how shytty the defense was last year.

With the Tuck, Woodley and Smith signing, along with Sio Moore developing nicely, I could just see them trading away that pick if it meant they can get another 1st or a couple 2nd rounders. We need help everywhere, but a player like Watkins, you HAVE to take. Just my opinion is all

Let me hit on your 2nd point first, didn't they let Pryor finish out the season? They also released Flynn with only Pryor and McGloin on the active roster to give Pryor his shot. Pryor was terrible vs the Giants who were ranked having one of the worst secondary in the league at that time. Their last win of the 2013 season was provided by McGloin against HOU immediately following that Giant game. He torched HOU and if I were Allen and his staff, I'd be hard pressed not to give McGloin as long of a leash as they gave him. But honestly, AFC West was the toughest division in the AFC based on the fact that 3 of the 4 teams made the playoffs.

Your first point, that's basically a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" for McKenzie and Allen. They're criticized for rushing him, for doing what the fans were screaming for, they can't win. I don't see another team giving Pryor the same chance the Raiders did. If he refuses to consider a position change, he could end up like Tebow.

I'm crossing my fingers we get Watkins. I see a gamebreaker with that guy. If he's not there at 5 - then I could live with us trading down but not too far. There's lots of dope WR's in the draft and I would be happy with any of them.
