For the younger generation, yes. It was also the name of a movie from the 70s starring Anthony Quinn.

The song might've been in American Gangster also but I cant remember for sure

No it's most famous for being a dope song attached to the movie across 110th street which is a classic. And of course it was used in the opening credits of Jackie brown. And it's in countless hip hop albums especially wu albums

As far as Krysten Ritter....she's cute but she don't do much for me.

As a male I'd much rather see Daddario in this role but I have no idea where they're going with this series. If there's scenes with heavy lifting (acting-wise I mean) then Ritter is better.
