It's wild to me how hard some people cape for this show. I saw one chick try to argue that the fight scenes shouldn't be compared to the "hyper-masculine" fights in Daredevil, because Danny is supposed to move like a ballet dancer
It's not AS bad as some critics have made it out to be, but it's far below the other Netflix shows. In fact so much of Iron Fist seems to be lifted from the previous Netflix shows. You got a bit of the gentrification story from season 1 of Daredevil, the cycle of abuse and PTSD stuff from Jessica Jones, the reluctant hero grappling with their past thing from Luke Cage.
They even tried to use music the way they did in Luke Cage, but they failed completely at it. In Luke Cage the music helps drives the narrative of the story. In Iron Fist they just picked random ass songs from the early 2000's to play in the background during random scenes.
Whoever wrote the scripts for this show should have their ass beat for all the dumb ass plot holes.
Ward runs a multi billion dollar company with a pharmaceutical division but can't get access to drugs without breaking his own hand?
Danny somehow became the Iron Fist but stays getting his ass kicked by random goons?
Danny and Collen constantly going back to Collen's place even though the hand has broken in multiple times and Danny has access to a penthouse suite in Manhattan?
What happend to the sub plots about the chemical plant poisoning people and The bum that was helping Danny dying of heroin OD?
Why the fukk was Collen struggling to make ends meet when she was working for the hand and clearly had access to their resources?
I can't believe they let the guy who was the showrunner for this shyt show also do the inhumans mini series.
