I just found out that Iron Fist show runner is the dude that the last two seasons of Dexter. pretty much explains the shytty pacing.

I wish I would've known this ahead of time. If I did I'd have never watched this because I complain about the final seasons of Dexter irl on a monthly basis. Now I'm in this awkward position of deciding whether or not to bail on the last 3 episodes I have left.

I truthfully said the show was "ok" and when a prominent poster said it was slightly above average in 6/10 himself, I agreed.

The darker tone is fine (if anything Iron fist felt light) the problem is the writing


Ps yeah each episode felt feature length in duration I was like is this shyt ever going to end? This slog feels around 90mins. Reminded me of the get down

You're right that it was lighter but it still falls under the Netflix Marvel umbrella where the guideline clearly is Main character must = dour tortured whiny emo.
