:francis: Well, early previews are up and it's not looking good.

Shouldn't be too surprised since the show runner for this is the same guy behind the last couple of seasons of Dexter which everyone seems to hate.

After the successes of 'Daredevil,' 'Jessica Jones' and 'Luke Cage,' Marvel and Netflix have their first big misstep

Iron Fist is not the strongest of its siblings, but team dynamics being what they are, it’ll no doubt benefit from the association. There will be plenty of folks out there who watch the show to keep up with the overall plot of the Marvel Netflix shows, and to see how Iron Fist presumably sets up for The Defenders later this year. Unfortunately, I can’t say at the moment that there are other reasons to binge.

Marvel's Iron Fist starts off sluggishly, seeming far more like a soap opera than a superhero series, complete with bland, pretty, rich people sneering and scheming over family fortunes.

“Marvel’s Iron Fist” is deadly — in all the wrong ways.

Quite a few dramas in the streaming arena have pacing problems, and even Netflix’s better Marvel programs have displayed an affinity for contrived, time-killing subplots. But “Iron Fist” is the most frustrating and ferociously boring example of Netflix Drift in some time.

I told yo ass, Marvel

The fact they didnt cast an Asian lead is going to make the critics go 10x harder on this joint.

I didn't want to look too deep into that initial trailer... but the choreography in them fight scene snippets was lacking. And since they aren't having him wear that mask, that means they can't swap him out with a stunt double who can fight and flip.

From what those reviews said about the first 6 episodes, the 2nd half of the season would have to pick up in a major way.

And broken record at this point, but Shang Chi's origin story would've been much cooler, a whole new angle for us, and would have tied in seamlessly with at least Daredevil.

They really should have just cast Danny Rand with an Asian actor to head off any criticism they were going to get. Its not like they haven't been skating on really thin ice with how they handle Asian representation in the MCU since Day 1 already so this would have been a good way to get that particular monkey off their backs.
Besides Finn Jones is a horribly bland actor so its likely they fukked up just by casting him anyway.

Called this joint a "Corporate Drama" instead of a Martial Arts one. Apparently there's little to none action scenes in the series :what:

Colleen is better than the lead :what:

This is the Inhumans showrunner :what:
