It's called acting the best thing we can do is emotionally detach from what we're seeing on screen and not take this personally.

It's the reason why some actors like Denzel play the same damn role in every movie cuz their female fans have qualms about them seeing them in any other fashion from there most preferred movie roles. If a character is based upon some other media material prior to live-action show/move/etc., then it's only natural for them to be involved with the same folks they are in the source material. Ya'll need to get off that feminine shyt just cuz ya'll fancy their looks or whatever. Ya'll acting like these are their IRL love interests and shyt, which would be another issue in itself, but at least a lil bit more understandable in the overall plight of things.

That's hasnt stopped Marvel from changing a character's race before. Remember the Ancient One from Dr. Strange? Marvel has no problem making an Asian character a CAC, but when ppl suggest making a culture appropriate character an Asian or at least half Asian its asking for too much and going against the source material

Also I didn't know they didn't do a test read to see if him and Colter had chemistry like they did Colter and Ritter. That seems kind of concerning, cause I can't imagine those 2 as a Hero 4 Hire duo.

Also Misty as confirmed for this series and I think Claire as well. But it looks like Rand will end up with Colleen cause the Cac they got playing Rand I couldn't see with Simmone Missick

ancient one wasn't a pinnacle character and died in the comic and ends up dying in the film which is confirmed. Iron fist has been notably white and his race is what makes his storyline since it's basically a rich white kid who's step dad kills his parents in am expedition to find the land of Kunlun (an ancient forbidden again country). So making Danny an Asian character wouldn't make sense. Why would an Asian person go back to an Asian country to learn martial arts? Doesn't that sound stereotypical to y'all?

It's kinda like switching Luke cages character, the only way we could change him and it making sense is if we made Luke a Hispanic (which represents the cultural diversity of Harlem and New York in general).

All I'm saying is if the character is a long lasting notable character that is a main in the comics there's no point really in changing their race because their race usually fits their storyline.

Really? Mind posting some of those reviews? I've read nothing but the contrary regarding Misty in all the reviews I've read. Hell, her comic-con arrival had her receive more applause than everyone else, including Luke.

My wife actually has admitted to having a girl crush on her based on her beauty. Says she has no booty tho, which I rather agree with.

Also shades are far as I know was black as well in the comic book. But in the Luke cage series this dude a white kat in Rossi.

He's actually Hispanic and the 1972 comic was remade multiple times

Not feeling it. The casting really bothers me. Really missed an opportunity IMO with not casting an asian actor.

I haven't seen enough from him via these trailers or anything of his previous work to be sold either, but making Danny Rand asian wouldn't really make sense. His backstory is more akin to a more serious version of Beverly Hills Ninja. Making the character asian would be stupid considering that.
