much better game but some animations are still trash

I dont understand when someone bites on a pump fake... they just immediately recover
there's alot of shyt thats fixed but instead of being realistic, its just crippled to where it doesnt work at all

there's more small examples but it slips my mind right now
the steals are weird to me, they dont go by skill anymore just by rating and badges 90% of the time

still a great 2k one of the best recent ones



unpopular opinion: I think they should drop difficulty level and just let your badges and rating be universal. But they've proven they cant balance the game ever. It would just make sense to me, to have 94-99 level shooters HOF feeling ... have centers just be universally slow... and people who make layups universally hard to contain. Doesnt make sense to have someone like John Wall suddenly shooting like curry just because a slider, players should just be what they are over any team or era. Just drop it on All Star how it is online, and make the specialist shyt more prominent so roles are more defined

Yeah, I had to stop playing that shyt. Same exact shyt! Would be running it up with dudes with IQ, but now it’s the typical 2k bums you get.

Got some good teammates this morning after getting the 1 hour 2xp

Ain't played this game in YEARS.....and then my nephew PURPOSELY bought me a copy and demanded that I try it, because he's a diehard and he got tired of me slandering the piss out of it.

I was like, "you should just get your money back NOW, kid."

He insisted.

So I played an exhibition game....ehhhh. Not bad, I guess.

Then, I tried MyPlayer for the first time EVER....signed to UCONN and was like "okay! I get to play in the tourney?! Now THIS is decent!"



Team proceeds to lose by 17 because NONE OF MY TEAMMATES could make a shot. These fools missing incredibly easy buckets UNDER the basket. I'm like, oh, so I'm SUPPOSED to lose, eh?



When it comes to 2K, I could only play it the way I always have: custom offline league, switch every team with a THROWBACK team and play out the season with 3-4 different favorites.

Nothin' like a random Wednesday night regular season game with the 2014 Heat vs. the 1994 Knicks.

do you always do the throwback teams or have you ever used the All-Time teams?

I only do offline seasons as well. Been meaning to replace all the current teams with the all-time teams and run a season with the Hawks so Nique can dunk on everyone

Nah, to me All-Time teams kinda ruin the "drama" of the season. Like, erebody is 99 or so, so where's the challenge, really?

With the throwback teams, there's a bit more of a touch of regular season "realism", if you will.

Right now, Jordan (92-93) is leading the league in scoring and is the leading MVP candidate, but LeBron ('12-13) is hot on his heels. They play in three game calendar days, too

The throwback Hawks (85-86) have him and Spud Webb, though....pitting them against the 92-93 Charlotte Hornets with prime Zo and Grandmama made for a great game the other day, Nique punched on Zo so HARD that I had to record it

Also.....I REALLY wish they would include that Suns team with Barkley, KJ, Majerle and Richard Dumas. I would HOUSE shyt with them fools.

But yeah.....to ME, there's really no other way to play this game and REALLY enjoy it.

Plus, buy VC for WHAT? There's never a need...

Man I just realized that I preordered this shyt and still haven't even loaded it up (after downloading it onto the PS5)

Dont have my 100k preorder VC so I'm on the emails with the peeps at 2k. I should have the credit shortly.

I've never really played online at the park, or the rec.. but I wanna start to. I usually do MyCareer. Ya'll got any advice? Should I make one guy for my career and another for The rec/The park?


I usually create a 6'8 Power Forward with HOF defensive and finishing badges. My dude usually beats all the other PF's down the court and gets fast break buckets. Dudes a menace on D too.

Help a breh out. I dont feel like droppin another $100 on the 400k VC in the PS store. I'm just not sure how far that 100k is gonna get me off rip.



Edit: And who all tryna get a squad? If its so hard to find cats that can play and are reliable.. lets get it poppin with a Coli squad. Do we all have to be on next gen if I am?

They basically patched everything back to 21. Hip riding animations and phase throughs still occur non stop. Like you mention, the pogo stick blocking and come down strips are still a thing. Rebounding is still awful where some possessions result in a crazy amount of offensive rebounds or if you did a user control block, you can’t react in time enough to get the ball resulting in an easy put back. PNR cheese where you are constantly hung up or literally sucked into the screen setter. I’m speaking from a PNO cause that’s all I play. But they really need to incorporate real player fg% and tendencies into the mode. For instance, I’m sick of playing the Lakers and trying to say off Westbrick/ Rondo to protect the paint/help rebound because most people run a big Melo/AD/DJ front court only to have them splash green light threes every possession
