I heard about this deal yesterday and it didnt make much sense to me. It was Lowry/Val for Conley/Mark. I thought Masai would want to hit the reset button if Kawhi bounces. Conley has 3 more years on his deal and Marc has $25 mil player option. Lowry and Val both come off the books in 2020. That frees up a lot of salary...plus Conley durability and Marc on downside.

The Lakers and Bulls have discussed a Kentavious Caldwell-Pope for Jabari Parker trade, per @WindhorstESPN

never fully understood this since it was first mentioned a couple weeks ago. can someone explain why the Lakers want Jabari? He is an upgrade over Beasley but he really only offers scoring and not shooting the 3 that great this year.

I aint seeing no heat rumors here. What are we doing ?:francisheat:

they may go after Otto? I really think they should be targeting TJ Warren. I like Fultz and Harrison Barnes too. Unload Waiters and McGruder.

I could be wrong but here is my thinking.
KCP makes 12 million Parker makes 20 million. If they make the trade both deals are expiring money. It benefits the Lakers because more money is coming of of the book Parkers 20 million rather than KCP 12. Which would free up more capspace in the summer for the Lakers. The Bulls would be doing the Lakers a solid.

I know you don't care but Kcp has a no trade clause he would need to lift and Lakers would need to add a player or pick to match money. Lakers could send cash but Chicago has received the max cash consideration for the year due to the Melo and Carter-williams trades.

This is a lost season so I don't know what you are going to get for Pau Gasol and nothing else...will be cut next year anyway...

Could have just as easily traded him and not jerked Poeltl out of a bunch of minutes to
