SAN ANTONIO — According to long time NBA reporter Mitch Lawrence of the
Sporting News, an East executive claims the San Antonio Spurs are trying to trade center Pau Gasol ahead of Thursday's NBA trade deadline.
The Spurs are working hard to part ways with Pau Gasol, according to one Eastern Conference GM.
The 17 year NBA pro posted a season high 13 points at New Orleans on Jan. 26 but has missed 26 games due to left foot soreness.

Gasol is posting 4.5 points per game off 47 percent shooting in 24 games played this season.
Moving Gasol would rid the Spurs of his hefty contract. He is set to make $16,800,000 this season and $16,000,000 next season.
