This episode felt like when it finally rains after being humid for a week.

The cold open had me but I think Elliot isn't telling us the whole truth. Smashing up a servrer room isn't the same as 'financial hacking'

The birth of Mr. Robot. I have to watch that flick they were watching to see if there are any more clues.

I thought that too, for a second - Esmail mirrored it really closely - but it's not the same time - unless, I'm missing something.

The knock was after the hack, no? This was him showing us the first time the hack was ever mentioned.

I explained this before, Craig Robinson is a guy deeply connected in the blackmarket or drug game. He's moving work via the internet getting paid in bitcoin. He first approached Elliott because he needed someone that could fix his website issues and his guy was fukking up. He's more or less this seasons Vera, not connected to the main story but a dangerous wildcard anyway.

While writing that it occurred to me he might have been the one who killed Romero.
