Sometimes less is more
you mean more is more. Those machines cost an awful amount of money, and have limited capabilities.
Sometimes less is more
How can someone spend so much money on something that can be done on computer at much lower cost and much more efficiently?
I can Understand someone using a MPC-60 of 3000 because of their unique sounds. But the 2000, 4000 and anything after that are just computers in an expensive box.

when I copped the XL they told me that the 2000 is the industry standard.... XL is far from weak, it's a monster with flintstone technology (zipdisks, scsi)

I just got a proposition to buy an mpc2000xl from sombody here's the description:
"I'am selling my MAXED OUT MPC 2000XL (with Maxed Out RAM, "RARE" Floppy/USB/MCD/SD/CF Drive, 8 Outputs, VERY CLEAN, ALL Buttons, Pads, screen and knobs work perfect!) AS-IS for $200.00 (Or Best Offer) There is a OPERATING SYSTEM PROBLEM however that I just dont have the time to fix this unfortunately. My Loss, your Gain.
The Machine powers up, but the screen doesnt show info. Maybe a disk or something is needed or something glitched. If you figure it out, Then you got a KILLER machine for cheap!"
I wanted to know should I cop it and would the problem with it be easy to fix?
