when I copped the XL they told me that the 2000 is the industry standard.... XL is far from weak, it's a monster with flintstone technology (zipdisks,scsi)

I just got a proposition to buy an mpc2000xl from sombody here's the description:

The Machine powers up, but the screen doesnt show info. Maybe a disk or something is needed or something glitched. If you figure it out, Then you got a KILLER machine for cheap!"

I wouldn't do it but I'm no electrician, I love my mpc like a baby and with any baby you want to have insurance if you know what i mean..
Maybe that usb floppy thing shorted a part. There is a thread at mpc forum with.a similar unit.for.sale. 120 ish to fix
