dumb question, how can i make it so that the samples dont overlay when i press a button twice on the 2000xl, i hate how if i press a button it continues to play the previous button press, how do i make it so it cuts off?

i have the mpc studio black... on program so they wont over play,,,, there is poly and monol... use mono

copped the mp3 studio black... no previous experience... I learned a lot by youtube and trial and error... I just need learn to sequence and song mode...
