Man GTFOH, half of the 168 thread is dumbasses saying they have no reason to watch MMA anymore because Anderson is finished. Don't get me wrong, Anderson is amazing and the GOAT up until this point but if you're only watching a sport because the champion is black then your opinion doesn't mean shyt anyway.
why are the 2 things mutually exclusive? if these ppl are not following the sport anymore due to Anderson's demise couldn't it be because hes part of the old skool?couldnt it be because he was the most entertaining fighter? couldn't it be because he was te goat? by bringing his race into it you've just fallen into your own trap

Really? :rudy: So people saying shyt like: "Weidman is a scrub, fukk that CAC. I have no reason to watch MMA anymore" are just mad that the old school is coming to an end?:camby: And if you're a real fan then it shouldn't matter anyway. I for one am actually excited to see some of these monsters that have been training specifically for MMA since they were children in a few years. :banderas:The sport is still in its infancy and people are already acting like we're seeing the last of the greats.

:comeon: One dude said that about GSP. Honestly, fukk it. Maybe I'm wrong but I just hate when people say that about a sport that I actually follow. I'll be just as pissed when motherfukkers start saying they have no reason to watch boxing after Mayweather has his last fight. I just don't like casual fans that pop their mouth off at every given opportunity when they don't even know the first thing about the sport. You see that one dumbass asking for an explanation of why Silva's leg broke the way it did? Or the retard saying that Anderson should have never used leg kicks because he has chicken legs? :snoop:

jus so stupid, u jus messed up ur knee, you shouldn't be trying to bulk up your upper body now. Thats just gonna be more weight and pressure on your now balky knee. Should be shedding weight sliming down, and then gradually adding on weight while strengthen the knee at same time so its a more gradual process. This is why most atheletes who get knee injuries tend to re injure their next again within the next year of rehab, cuz they jus go too dayum hard on their body.

I find it mindblowing that he can't jump. Jumping ability is often considered a key measure of athleticism.

I think that fool simply doesn't know how to dunk. Like he literally doesn't know how it works. He hit Shogun with a beastly flying knee and jumped over the head Ryan Bader backwards (standing).

I hope Weidman ends up being a good champ. At 29 he doesnt have long to make a name for himself but hopefully he just doesnt go down as the dude who caught up to Anderson when he should have retired.

So some crazy rumour i came across

boxing legend Roy Jones Jr., who was in attendance at the UFC show in Vegas on Saturday, and who defeated his "warm-up" opponent in a boxing match in Moscow, Russia this past week to set up a superfight (under boxing rules) against Anderson Silva (whom he specifically called out after his boxing victory in Russia during his post-fight interview) is now targeting Nick Diaz

The Last of the Outlaws
Zuffa, LLC, owner of the Ultimate Fighting Championship®, released the following statement regarding Anderson Silva's injury.

"Following Saturday evening's UFC 168 main event, former champion Anderson Silva was taken to a local Las Vegas hospital where he underwent surgery to repair a broken left leg. The successful surgery, performed by Dr. Steven Sanders, the UFC's orthopedic surgeon, inserted an intramedullary rod into Anderson's left tibia. The broken fibula was stabilized and does not require a separate surgery. Anderson will remain in the hospital for a short while, but no additional surgery is scheduled at this time. Recovery time for such injuries may vary between three and six months.

"Anderson is deeply touched by the outpouring of support from his fans and the entire MMA community. There has been no immediate decision about his future, and he would kindly ask for privacy at this time as he deals with his injury and prepares to return home to recover."

the sad part is, weidman actually thinks he is the champ. dude broke a leg and 1st thing Weidman did was put his hands up in victory and started running around as if he did something. talking about how he trained on checking leg kicks, that was a freak injury, had nothing to do with your training. I use to be a Weidman fan, but this guy is too disillusioned.

He is champ. Did you miss the first fight? Or even the first round in this one? He was doing a better job checking kicks then in the first fight. He gave respect to Silva in his interview with Rogan. Nothing to hate him for. Would of liked to see Silva win, but Weidman did nothing wrong.
