It had nothing to training with him though. Find me an article that shows that Glover trains or did train or even visited the Blackzillian gym.

not everything that happens in training is in artictles. Go call Blackzillians and ask em if you really wanna know. I actually am friends with some fighters and trainers and have been told before that Glover has done some cross training with the zillians in the past. its the reason why you also dont hear about rumour fights between Vitor and Glover. But if you dont wanna believe, thats on you. I guess these days if its not on the internet then it never happened and not true huh.

All I'm saying is that Rashad doesn't have a problem with fighting Glover, as long as he's given sufficient time to train and get in shape. He said in the article you posted, that he would fight Glover.

yeah and you believe he really meant that. Thats why Glover stated he doesnt want to wait for Jones and wants to stay active fighting. Meanwhile Rashad is saying in interviews he wants to fight for the belt again and get a titleshot but instead of fighting a top contender he's doing the old man circuit in lil nog, hendo and now Sonnen. what a fighter says is 90% of the time just media BS, judge the fighters on their actions.

Take Sonnen, he talks tuff and macho, but what really was the crap against Rashad. He looked like he wanted to part of that fight, and just took a quick dive. Then the jon jones fight, he didnt even look like he tried to mount any offense nor defense, just took the pay chq and done.

There is no reason for me to believe that Rashad wouldn't fight Glover. :yeshrug:

well, Rashad beat sonnen without suffering any major injuries. Bones Jones is out till spring or later with a foot injury they saying now, and Glover sd he doesnt want to wait around for Jones. So no excuse for either fighter to call each other out now and get this fight for Superbowl weeknd maybe?

Evans (19-3-1 MMA, 14-3-1 UFC) on Wednesday told “UFC Tonight” that he’s heard Cormier (13-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC) could be his next opponent, though the fight had yet to be confirmed by the promotion.

Asked whether he thought Cormier could make the drop to 205 pounds, Evans said, “I think so. I think he can diet down, and I think he’s a different athlete than he was when he was wrestling for the Olympics. I think he’s a little bit more disciplined now.”

Cormier was unreachable for comment on the potential matchup, which was not given a date.

Isn't the bout getting re-scheduled? why in the world would Glover want to take another fight? That makes 0 sense, unless Jones is going to sit out for a very long time.

Rashad/Cormier would be a very interesting fight, I like it. This fight could easily go either way, but I'm leaning toward Cormier.

I just read on MMA weekly that Jones injury is worse than initial thought with his foot, sd he's out till spring, march or april if foot responds to treatment.

Meanwhile Glover, you can easily google search and multiple times Glover has stated he never wants to just wait for Jones, he wants to stay active. Why would Glover not wait, easy he's not gettin any younger. He may be new still to ufc fans but to mma fans he's been around for years and his window to making money and paying the bills is closing. I'm sure he'll fight any1 on a ppv just to get a good sizeable ufc pay chq.

Rashad,/cormier/gus/glover lets get a mini tourney there, on 2 diff ppv cards. setup some undercard fights with phil davis, shogun or lil nog as well so you have viable injury replacements already in shape and training. Lets Bones take time to heal, he's been an active champ he can take a break.

Then inbetween on 2 other cards, u got a MW mini tourney going on, u got silva vs weidman, but also got machida/mousasi/belfort/d souza/rockhold waiting there.

Glover/Jones was supposed to happen in mid-Feb. If Jones comes back in March or April, that's around a 1-2 month extra wait for Glover. No chance in hell, he takes another fight. It seems like you think it's a good idea for Glover to take another fight, that would be the dumbest thing he could in his situation. And him not getting younger is more reason for him to wait that extra month or two and take his guaranteed title shot.

LHW is lacking contenders, why in the world the UFC hold a mini tournament? A mini tournament kills off 2-3 potential contenders. It's looking like the UFC is going to do Glover/Jones in March or April. The winner of that fight vs Gus (assuming he gets passed Manuwa, which he should). In the meantime, Cormier will face Rashad, winner of that fight will need to get 1 more solid win and then a title shot. That makes a lot more sense for the UFC. If Jones is healthy and good to go for March or April, why would the UFC let him sit out? If Jones is ready to fight, there is no chance the UFC puts him on the shelf for an extended period of time.

any scenario that places cormier in a losable fight in his first outing at lhw is dicey brah. One of the only storylines thats keeping the division relevant is how jones handles him. They need to give cormier a patsy like bader not rashad
