Yeah he does have a great thing going. He’s a lot of ppls consensus goat fw. You don’t need one punch ko power when your boxing is as crisp as his. Israel doesn’t have one punch ko power either. Shoot I haven’t seen bones jones one punch someone either at least not for a minute. I think your seriously underestimating max. I think he washes zabit on the feet. He’s already so far ahead of those guys in the striking game they won’t catch up. Also his td defense his great just like Israel’s. Max is a purple belt so it’s not like he doesn’t know what he’s doing. Max could lose his belt and still make bank. Everyone loves watching him fight.
Edit- you also don’t magically gain knockout power. He could bulk up and get bigger for 155 but he will never have that Power like Dustin or a woodley.(yeah I know 170)
His boxing is crisp but he gets hit, he’s very hittable in fact, way more so than the fighters you’re comparing him to. He also isn’t as versatile as those fighters and doesn’t have the weapons those fighters do.
He won’t make $400k down at 145 fighting nobody’s in Canada.
Before the Poirier fight the narrative was Max should just stay at 155 and stop killing himself

He doesn’t care about getting hit or money. He cares about putting on entertaining fights. Which is why he has fans. He’s not a woodley and gets the belt and plays it safe. Considering he gets a cut of Ppv money cause he’s the champ he makes over 400k already. 350k was his base salary not counting ppv. Israel almost got beat by a 5’9 Mexican. He’s going to run into Whittaker next, jacare and Yoel. He aint killing him self anymore than khabib does or Yoel does or 70% of the ufc like I said max will move up. No need to rush it when he can beat volk, then Frankie and zabit. Maybe a rematch with Ortega. Then move up and still fight 155 by the time he is 30. Dude has top notch nutritionist and ufc performance institute. If he really couldn’t make weight then he wouldn’t be making weight. It’s not as drastic as till at 170. Where the dude is practically dying. And what’s better cutting some weight or getting rocked for 3 rounds by Dustin and bigger dudes when you’re not really ready for that? He will move up when he physically can’t cut anymore or it starts taking away from his physical performance which hasn’t happened yet. He’s look damn good the last 3 fights at 145 or after the next 2-4 fights. I think he will be better than he was when he actually decides to move up full time. Put on muscle and a little bit of strength.
fukking Anthony Pettis knocked out wonder boy but somehow woodley couldn’t and had to rely on decisions. Don’t get me wrong woodley fights smart but he also fights safe. Didn’t even swing on usman.

Max ate my Ortega’s punches like nothing. He was never in any danger. Zabit needs to beat aldo, volk, Ortega or Frankie before he gets a fight with max anyway. Who says he beats them? I’m not worried about anyone at 145 for max frankly. Obviously he does take unneeded shots but that’s just his warrior mentality and frankly it messes with the other guys head like damn I hit this dude with everything and nothing is happening. Max is one of my favorite fighters so I hope you’re right. But I don’t see a long title reign happening for him
Well he’s beat the best fw ever twice and a phenomenal Bk practitioner with great power for for 145. I don’t see him being stopped anytime soon other than a lucky knockout. But so far his chin is great. Either way if he did somehow lose he would end up like a Donald cerrone character. Someone always ready for a fight and very entertaining. But he has been champion so there that. I’m just going to enjoy the ride of watching him fight along with Adesanya.
Now dc needs to give stipe that rematch that’s on my fights that need to happen. They’ve given Brock enough time. Or bones and dc at Hw

Yeah, that's why I'm hesitant to give him the GOAT accolades that Rogan instantly ODed on immediately after the Ortega fight. Max himself says that even though he beat Jose he still has more work to do before he considers himself the best.
That’s why he won’t move up yet. Even If he’s not the goat he’s the 2nd best fw ever right now at 27. But you also have to look at head to head matchups he tko aldo twice. So I see where joe is coming from in that sense. Also his win streak even without the belt is great. I’m biased cause I like Max more but aldo was a legend in that class. Even back to wec. Kind of sucks aldo didn’t put up Better fights vs mad cause who knows if we will see a third one.
