UFC didn’t re-sign Sage, it’s weird considering he was 6-2 in the UFC and on a three fight winning streak. Somebody in his camp must have pissed Dana off.

Serious L for the UFC. Not because I'm high on Sage, he's young and has potential but a long way to go. But the UFC poured way too many resources into making this kid a household name before he was ready and now that he's finally shown a bit of development, he's probably gonna get a nice payday from One or Bellator. Just a waste of promotional money.

If Silva wins he's getting the shot over Jacare, only other alternative would be Costa beating Romero if that fight ever gets rescheduled. Jacare had the option of fighting Adesanya and he said he would sit out and wait, he's gonna get passed up.

Rumors that Darrion Caldwell might be fighting Horiguchi for NYE, Rizin presser later tonight and Caldwell's nickname is the Wolf. If this happens this is my most anticipated fight left for 2018 after JJ/Gus and Max/Ortega

Looks like they're going to have the show on much later this year. They announced at the beginning of the presser that the fans can expect to 'spend their new year' at the venue - so I'm guessing they're having the main event on after 12 am Japanese time to accommodate North American fans.

This reminds me of the days when Aoki/Alvarez/Melendez were beefing across promotions. I'd love to get that type of fighting back, these promotions can't build stars up to UFC level on their own but combined they can build a hell of a lot of steam for somebody.
