I stay having trouble looking at Nunes as more than a power striker in a light division even as she has some nice title defenses. The Cyborg announcement hit and all I could envision was Cat Zingano bullying Nunes after recovering from a first round knockdown. I usually run back some recent fights to make picks but in this case, I know I'll be stubborn regardless....I just don't like Nunes (felt this way about Weidman too).

Costa says he'll wait. I love the mentality, prefer he take someone else and keep his momentum building while Romero recovers. That's a massive step up in competition and Costa could use more tests in the octagon before going against a dude who only lost two razor thin decisions against the elites in the division. This could easily end up bein' a Frankie/Yair derailing, though I think Costa is a better prospect than Yair was.

Not that I think he would be champ in UFC or even top 5, but there are a lot more exciting match-ups for him there. He's pretty much fought everybody in Bellator, I guess the Primus rematch is still in the works.

Cyborg had to change her diet to consistently make wait and pass USADA testing. She seemed underpowered against Holly Holm...that makes me think Nunes could actually outmuscle her....

Nunes is a lot smarter at conserving her energy, but I still think she gets to save energy because most women she fights shell up after they feel her power. I don't think Cyborg will do that and I'm betting on her to be able to keep the press on long enough to test the reserves...but again I'm biased as hell, I had Shevchenko edging both fights.

Watching fighters try to figure out how to get Lineker to stop coming forward and throwing hooks to the body is always fun, especially when it's a talent like Magomedsharipov...probably see some creative trips and level changes inside to slow Lineker down. Zabit would need to have his cardio turned all the way up too.

kickboxing though!? Horiguchi is one of my favorite fighters period, but Nasukawa is a PROBLEM and the Kickboxing rules should be to his advantage. I seen Nasukawa get in trouble recently but idk how to feel when Kyoji is a natural 125'er and MMA guy....but the UFC never shoulda let him walk regardless!

edit: Cruikshank vs Brandao is low key a fun match-up too. That'll be a show.
