Irrespective of title? If that is the belief then why ask the question what is the incentive to take the fight? Unless he relinquishes or retires Ferguson is his next opponent (as the titles need to be unified)

The question was rhetorical. Conor has made a name that's bigger than being attached to a title. The general public isn't gonna hold it over his head if he doesn't fight Ferg. You're not gonna see the UFC push that fight either unless he wants it. Again he's an anomoly.

taking the 1st fight at WW instead of defending @ featherweight could be excused, the 2nd fight could call for a grunt. The LW fight? okay they just needed a photo OP with the other belt but now he's champ again it's going to be business as usual. Now you are saying he really doesn't have to defend the LW either and ppl will be fine because he's an anomaly? Breh there is no way he or the UFC are going to be able to spin he not facing the interim champ in his division. The only way to wiggle out of it is if he did a champ vs champ match against GSP at a catchweight..

There is no rhyme or reason to how Conor will operate going forward with the UFC I hear what you're saying but he's above all that. If Conor decides to fight Ferg it will be his most expensive fight he's def gonna tax the UFC.

his $ demands are beside the point, we always knew after the high of moneymac he would be a nightmare. My point is if he is still a uFC fighter his next opponent can only be Ferguson

I know what your point is. I agree with Ferg deserving the unification fight but think of it this way the next fighter Conor fights will be Ferg after Mayweather? Might as well be GSP or a Nate trilogy.

A lot of people will tune in to the next fight Conor does and UFC and him need to be wise and capitalize on the attention. Is Ferg that dude you're gonna invest in? If they can do Woodley vs Nate out the way he can fight the winner of that or take on GSP.

Just woke up and remembered UFC Shanghai. Just checked the results, and there are tons of good finishes!

:whoo:

Hopefully the main card continues this trend.

Bisping really convinced himself he wasn't the biggest fluke champion in the history of the UFC and that he wouldn't get demolished by any top 10 MW huh? :mjlol::mjlol:

Dude really thought because Herb Dean let him continue to a BS decision after getting KOed by Silva and scoring the biggest fluke KO since Matt Sera 10 years ago that he was an all time great :russ:

He's probably gonna call out Rockhold next trying to prove his win wasn't a 1 in a 1000 miracle and end up getting choked out with one arm again :bryan:
