I ain't a fan of Tony 's antics since he started wearing shades in doors and acting like a tool. However he's done enough to not have to take a fight until conor man's up..Who the fuk does khabib think he is? You had your chance, you shat the bed in the most unprofessional way. Then you took an extended leave for religious reasons, the world moves on. He needs to take at least 2 more fights (given how sparse he fights that should be a year and a half) before he should be taken seriously for a title shot

Can’t blame Tony.

Why go through the grind of training and prepping for a championship fight when you know the likelihood of your opponent actually stepping into the Octagon is non-existent.

Conor needs Khabib to face Tony and win at least that's a fresh opponent with a whole different fan base. Tony won't be able to out sit Conor... and Khabib can out sit both of them so... Tony just needs the $$$ to fight Khabib

Chael vs Rampage 1/20, on the Rory/Lima card. Chandler/Yamauchi and Aaron Pico already booked on the 1/20 card too.

Rest of the match-ups:
Bader vs Mo (May)
Mitrione vs Nelson (Feb 16)
Fedor vs Mir (April)

I always wanted to see rampage against chael/Tito back at the height of their careers. But dude has become so lazy in recent years his fights are an embarrassment, could easily see chael out hustling by just keeping him down all night.

Ps Paramount network not paramount sports?:leon:

Lol that's cold breh, dude has practically cleaned half the division and u want him to risk his streak by fighting a high risk no reward fighter who isn't a sure bet that he'll fulfill the contract to fight. A dude who is also not a draw, it's just not worth it

Yeah but Conor has no incentive to fight Tony :manny: it's a gift and a curse unless Tony gets a huge pop

The incentive is that he finally defends a title in his career:mjlol: and it's against the most deserving of combatants. Ferguson might not be a name like that but conor ending his streak would only add to his legend

Ps if you have to ask the 'what incentive' game for a champion vs interim champion unification match then we are in very dangerous territory :francis:

It's his obligation as champion to face whoever has the interim even in the WME era that will forever stand. That fight is the most financially viable in the LW division. And he's not fighting for the interim he's defending his on a ppv which will lead to more points = money, the most he can make outside of a Diaz trilogy..What is the money fight out there? Cuz based off of what you've written he might as well retire

Conor has no problem with retiring either tho... Conor would make his "guarantee" money now no matter who he faces. He's an anomoly in the fact that he gets a pass by the general public no matter what.

So Nate is asking 15 mill to fight Woodley and Woodley is asking 5 mill for each fighter and 5 mill for the winner.

Irrespective of title? If that is the belief then why ask the question what is the incentive to take the fight? Unless he relinquishes or retires Ferguson is his next opponent (as the titles need to be unified)

As much of a circus the sport as become that time honoured tradition still exists..No amount of politicking even from the great McGregor "the box office gawd" can circumvent that
