This is an unfair comparison. DJ is in a new division and is the only champ so of course he hasn't beaten a great or former champ.
Exactly, he hasn't beaten ne great or former Champs. He's in a new division facing many ufc unproven fighters. So let's give him credit for being the champ and retaining the belt he deserves that.
But when ppl start throwing around all time great and better than Anderson, Jones, GSP even Fedor. Now that's taking it a bit too far.
It's like since wme came over they jus want to call every1 greatest every and jus do 'superfights' Joanna is a great now. Rose is a great now. Every1 is a greatest now. I smell dis going down like how boxing did. Sad truly.
What I loved about the ufc and pride was everything was earned in da ring. Wars were fought, no ducking fighters. But it's not like that ne more. Hotel shldve had a chance to run thru bisping by now.

Anderson, Maia, ok among, Thales, horn, vitor, Forrest, Hendo, rich franklyn.
Even Matt Hughes, newton, sherk, Trigg, bj, GSP, sakurai, Royce and renzo.
And now dj, Dodson, Reis, benavdez Who else? I know u guys mention Cejudo I dunno why he's beaten exactly nobody in ufc to make him a quality name. Macall another hyped up name who's beaten no1.
U guys gotta stop falling in this wme/ufc trap of over hyping names for fake crowns and calling every1 a great.

This isn't Ronda beating on accountants and soccer moms. Most of the guys he's beaten have fought for years in higher weight classes like him. And DJ is smacking all of them. Dobson and Benividez have only lost to DJ. Horicuchi and Cejudo while young and lacking experience are talented. They will probably be champions. McCall and Elliot aren't world beaters but they are solid. We can play this nit pick game with everyone. I can see yea Jones beat names but how many of them were in their prime outside DC? Connor beat Aldo and Eddie but who else? Silva had a lot of favorable opponents outside Belfort and Hendo. You don't have to like DJ or enjoy his fights but give dude his respect like you do Silva and GSP. He's going on six years undefeated and is on a 10 fight win streak. Of course people are going to take note of his accomplishments and rightfully so

Fought and lost for years in higher weight classes. Simply put, DJ has not beaten a single proven top tier ufc level winner yet.
I give DJ his respect for being a champ and holding it down this long and him always striving to finish fights.
But I do not out him up there with the greats. Nor should his name be mentioned in da same sentence as the word great. All great is a serious thing and let's not lower the standard or meaning of it u gotta have sum serious wars against battle proven top tier fighters to start that convo. Just beating whoever else is up next whether they are middle tier or lower doesn't make u a great. Just a good champ.
He only lost to Pickett and Cruz he wasn't getting destroyed or losing. 14-2 at BW. He's fukking 5'3 what do you want to him? Anyone who's on a streak like this and beating guys this dominantly deserves to be mentioned as a great. Like I said we can play this game all day with others. Silva after beating Hendo was basically fighting whoever. Facing TUf winners like Travis Lutter and Thales Leites. Hell Weidman was just a next guy up after beating Munoz. And let me tell you that is 125 division is much better then that old garbage ass MW divisions Silva was in. There was a reason he was going up to 205. And yet no one says he isn't undeserving of his legendary status. Fedor too. For every Big Nog and and Cro Cop there are complete bums like silly Japanese pro wrestlers. No questions asked on his GOAT status

Horiguchi (dude was already top three in the division before UFC let him walk and he's got a long career ahead of him), Torres (one of the WEC's best champions before UFC went lighter) and Kid Dynamite (Made his killing in Japan) belong on MM's list. Mccall pre-addiction was no joke either (I mean, if Jeremy Horn and Thales Leites are gonna count). WME isn't hyping Mighty Mouse, he's about to break the title defense record and he's cleaned out a division. Only the greats clean out a division and nobody cleans out number one contenders without so much as being threatened for their belt, that's strictly a Mighty Mouse accomplishment.
Thing is there was a big nog and cross co0. They have beaten other legendary top fighters.
DJ has beaten no1 who is considered a great, a champ or even upper echelon. You can play this game as long as you like Hut beating up on mid tier at beat fighters doesn't make u great. Just consistent at beating mediocre opponents.
Are there any fighters that DJ has beaten that if they were to retire today wld be considered great? Or a future hall of famer? If you can't name more than 1. Then that's it answer on Dj's career

With Maia, Masvidal, Cerrone and Lawler booked, I wonder who the hell Woodley is tryna fight. Condit's a two fight losing streak, no way Wonderboy gets another shot and next in the rankings are Magny and Gunnar. If dude is training right now; none of the leftover names make sense...
