Let's see if this card stays intact Chandler is also fighting on this card too

Well the PPV card right now is:
  • Lima vs Larkin
  • Chandler vs Primus
  • Fedor vs Mitrione
  • Sonnen vs Silva
And Aaron Pico making his debut on PPV :dwillhuh:

Aaron Pico almost made the 2016 US Olympic wrestling team and knocked out Josh Thomson in sparring last June.

I guess if Bader/Davis and Bendo are on this show, they'll be on the Spike card before the PPV

It's a cool card $30 worth, the marketing for this is gonna be :whoo: people are used to a free product with Bellator. So how will the public adjust.

Lima vs Larkin is gonna be so damned good. I'm glad Chandler gets a chance to shine but it'd be better as a Bendo rematch imo. Pico getting an instant big time slot, I'm iffy on but if he's the real deal (and Coker historically has been pretty good at spotting those types ie: Cormier and Rousey) then it's a really smart play. This is the exact model I was hoping Coker would do with these old legends fights that are closer to freak shows than legit; use the old guys to get the audience and load the card with fighters who deserve more attention.

Bendo vs Pitbull off that Thompson win would be a nice match-up to pair with Bader/Davis at the top of a Spike card. Throw Chinzo on that card too and it's a killer.

edit: I grabbed the article where I mentioned that Bellator model

Bellator’s Potential Dilemma: The Expendables

The legends match-ups need to be billed as secondary main events instead of the headline fights. When Coker has an aged veteran that can draw a crowd, he needs to make sure that a title fight is on the same card as a co-main event at the top of the card. He can still ride the old names, but giving top billing to Michael Chandler, Douglas Lima or Rafael Carvalho would give fans a reason to stick around and watch the best that Bellator has to offer. By pairing the title fight storylines with the Expendables drawing power, Coker could provide the show that viewers are looking for and hopefully draw new eyes to the cream of the crop. That would mean that when the legends hang up their gloves once and for all, the fans will have been exposed to the next generation of home grown Bellator fighters. Instead of filling out these legend cards with former UFC collectives (take a look at the Fedor card), Coker needs to use those cards to establish the home grown talent of Bellator.

Like dude read my mind.

Coker identified a lot of stars early on. He signed people like Cormier, Rousey, Melendez, Rockhold, Woodley after their 2nd or 3rd fight. I definitely trust his talent evaluation skills.

Bendo apparently had ACL surgery in December, I don't think he won't be on this card. I wouldn't mind Bader/Davis as the headliner for the Spike card, we all need a bathroom break during the show breh :yeshrug:

I agree that they gotta give some shine to their younger stars, but nah to Rafael Carvalho...that fight against Melvin was one of the worst fights I've ever seen. How are you going to fight scared against a 40 year old Melvin with a glass chin? :gucci:

:russ: I'm a Manhoef fan since the days he had Robbie Lawler's foot flying above the cage with leg kicks, so I'll consistently overrate dude and give cats the benefit of a doubt when they're timid vs dude. That said, yeah you're right about the last one...awful fight and Manhoef won in my eyes; I still think Carvalho is marketable though. He's undefeated (Manhoef fight getting an eye roll but officially speaking) since his debut and he's a finisher 90% of the time.

I said when WME bought UFC there was gonna be a lot of defections to Bellator. It's gonna continue to happen if they keep going down this road of cheating legit contenders of their rightfully earned title shots.

Read that if McGregor vs Mayweather happens, UFC will get half of Conor's purse.
