Terrible poster.... so we gonna act like Hawaii isn't part of the USA?
A lot of native Hawaiians actually resent the US, and see it more so as a repressive colonizer than their country. There's been a few grassroots movements over the last couple of years to actually push for Hawaiian sovereignty.

So if the UFC wants Holloway to be the "Hawaiian Hero" it makes sense to not plaster an American flag over his face.

I didn't know that... if Holloway feels the same way about that :jbhmm: but it looks weird to me a country vs state

Came in here to post it

This nikka is gonna get washed by King Mo :mjlol: talmbout "I wish I didn't start this sport cuz i want to be with my family in Memphis" :francis:

I don't think he is... a lot of people hating on what he said... it just shows that money isn't everything and sometimes you can't have everything when you're successful. Look at Kobe.... so he rather trade in his own personal success to be with his fam :manny: that doesn't mean he's gonna get smacked

I agree with some of the rationale, but it's not a good look to be saying, "My biggest regret is starting in this sport" when you have a fight coming up.

I may put some money on King Mo now :skip:

Given that Cro Cop knocked out King Mo at heavy weight I think King Mo is underestimating how big Rampage is gonna come in at. Rampage doesn't care to fight just to fight anymore he said it he is just making sure he gets his money in order till his hollywood deals are in place. He loves to fight but he has nothing to prove.

Well Mike Tyson once said that his life was a waste and his accomplishments didn't mean anything...Only his family meant anything to him now so I can understand what Rampage means.

the thing is money is one if not the biggest contributor to why he started being discontent with Dana and the UFC in the first place. His first big fight was against Liddell remember, he's often spoke about how the money he made in subsequent fights tallied off since then. How he can say he didn't make money off the rashad fight I don't know but then again it was a snooze fest so maybe those discretionary bonuses were withheld but this is rampage we are talking about, he's a bit economic with the truth so who knows. Add to that the A-Team business also rubbed him the wrong way and remember when he scored that Reebok deal in 2013 but ufc wouldn't let him wear it into the cage..

And making a parallell between kobe/nba players and mix martial artists is a false one. As the travel for the former is far more rigorous, they are employees with contracts that binds them to a minimum of 82 games a year..Rampage is an independent contractor he can take fights or refuse them hell he can even take a side job while he's at it.

Even a dude that fights as much as cowboy gets downtime so to make out MMA was like a tour of duty to nam is a fallacy. No, it's more a case time has flown, he's reached the end of his athletic career and he's wondering what else he's going to do so is now reflecting and bitter

Mayday is a great pickup for Bellator. They're making all of the right moves at a time when the UFC can't get out of their own way. It's going to be really interesting watching this battle play out over the next few years.
I agree they are making all the right moves acquisition wise but as far as battle goes we can't really say that with them just having one ppv in their history. I seriously dont know how the company make money :francis:

Bellator's moving like WCW in the mid-90s right now

Just a shame their presentation is dull /mechanical (yeah I said it) they have no front men and the in cage product fukin sucks 75% of the time. I actually have a better time watching invicta :mjlol:

Agreed, they haven't had a good show since November. The Chael vs Tito card was a huge let-down. All of their homegrown guys looked horrible that night. Only Paul Daley came out of that show looking good, pause. Rich Chou books lots of shytty match-ups. The production value isn't that good, it looked new and fresh two years ago...now when I watch a Bellator show, it feels like I'm watching a Kunlun Fight card with white people.

I hope all these signings and going into PPV force them to step their game up.

Rampage spent a good portion of his career in Japan. Let's not add to the fact that he used to train in England. The parallel between Kobe and Rampage maybe extreme but not false... some athletes are able to balance both others aren't. I don't know where Rampage's down time went. Who is to say he wasn't with his fam when he could be. Again not all MMA fighters did what Rampage was doing or reach the success he has had either.

When I see Cowboy he's usually doing the things he wants not hanging out with fam per say. Rampage has had millions of dollars smuggled from him through his former manager. Yes, he's bitter and angry about someone who was supposed to be in his corner literally taking money from his family mouth. Plus the fact the contract Bijorn, Bellator and his former manager had wasn't fulfilled in his eyes. Yes, reflecting and being pissed at losing at millions who wouldn't be.

As far as the end of his fighting career it's coming but he's not wondering what he's going to do. He's already stated that he's trying to break into Hollywood and he has his own production company in the works.
