Lweis plays into hunts strengths and its a winnable for hunt but after that KO and coming back so soon, I wonder about the USO chin now. He's getting up there in age and the wars starting to add up

question from a boxing fan:

In MMA which (combat/martial art) style's practitioners tend to dominate the sport? Does it vary depending on divisions, like in HW the grapplers are more successful and in FW rther the strikers and etc...

I'm aware that these fighters get training from almost everything once they start to compete in MMA but I'm rather asking about their original background now.

and how much the more traditional martial arts like karate, kung-fu or judo represent themselves?

We are currently seeing strikers with a boxing background have the most success now. Your bread should always be either wrestling/jujitsu but besides that everything else just gets pushed in there.

Ronda was successful with judo but take for instance a fighter like Kyro Parisian who didn't share the same success with the same background.

Traditional arts like karate are good too because you do not see that often in the more popular ranks because it's hard to execute those type of techniques... but when you do get a fighter with those disciplines in higher ranks they tend to become difficult matchs for anyone especially if they have wrestling/jujitsu to back it up

It's very weight dependent but IMO the ideal fighter is well versed in muay Thai and BJJ

Judokas get they ass kicked, ax Ronda and Hector lomfraud

Lmao @ a WMMA fight b/w two nobodies being right before the main and co-main of this card, only 2 fights I care about are Moussai/Weidman and Rumble/DC. 211 got enough matchups that they could have loaned one to this card.

Brooks/Oliveira should be good too. Win or lose, Oliveira puts on exciting fights. Alves/Cote should be decent.
