Yeah he's deadass wrong but can you blame him for trying? He's trying to pull off superstar boxer shyt in the UFC. He knows he's been carrying the brand.Man, I like Conor but he needs to drop this ish. He's holding that belt hostage and devaluing it in the process. UFC should hold fast, either he defends the belt and THEN can consider a LW fight or he drops the belt. 3 fights out of division while holding a belt without defending it is just crazy.

Current estimates have the show doing 1.65 million buys on pay-per-view, putting it slightly ahead of UFC 196, the first McGregor vs. Diaz fight, which was estimated at 1.6 million. Both would be ahead of the prior record set at UFC 100 for the second Brock Lesnar vs. Frank Mir fight.

Good point, he might as well. I think he realizes the value in going for that two division champion moniker. A rematch with Aldo probably has the least profit to it compared with a two title opportunity or a rematch with Nate; meanwhile, Max Holloway is probably next in line (well he should be at least) which means that'd be another rematch on the horizon. If Pettis keeps making noise, that's the money fight for Conor there and taking Eddie buys some time for Pettis to make the push (I would LOVE to see Pettis/Aldo like we were supposed to years back). Business wise, Conor is probably smart here and he has plenty of leverage. The UFC kicked him off their "biggest card ever" and he just clocked in his second PPV to do better numbers than that card.
Per his request, the UFC has released Shane Carwin from his contract. He's officially a free agent.
Mitrione/Fedor/Minakov are all good fights outside the UFC for Carwin.
