Aldo will be ok. I don't see how Conor can countersrike the leg kick. Only thing is the straight left when Aldo kicks. Will be interested to see how and when Conor times his spinning back kick

The thing that makes me feel at ease about that Aldo fight is that one of his sparring partners, I can't remember his name, does a GREAT Conor impression in the ring.

I've see clips and dudes movement is just like Conor's so Jose won't be surprised by the unorthodox stance and ring cutting pressure, I hope.

But don't disrespect McG's striking. He's got a great boxing pedigree just like Jose. These two dudes seem evenly matched. It'll be all about gameplanning and effective striking.

@Newzz how that coli bank account holding up :lupe: you bet against a boxer at that :wow:

I didn't know she was a Boxer, if I had known that....I would've threw down some real cash:mjcry:

Crazy thing is, last time I was on the show with yall, I said I would like to see how Ronda responds to adversity (the whole "heart" discussion we had about fighters), because she hadn't faced any adversity. Seems like her team had 0 game planning or adjustments to tell her in between rounds, and she made 0 adjustments on her own, which means she responded poorly. I cant see her ever beating Holm now, her stand up game is garbage in comparision & she cant take her down (which is a MMA's fighter only way to actually defeat a top notch Boxer) and Im happy a former Boxer beat that ass:wow:

@Newzz You still got so many digits behind your coli cash sht look like a phone number to Dubai :wow:

Oscar was co signing Holms but why he put Ronda on the cover of his magazine before the fight? Even Roach consigned Holmes

Jonas speed he was on our show right after Aldo pulled out... Not sure if he came to training for this fight tho :lupe:

I didn't disrespect Conor's striking game and his keys to the match will be his boxing/range that's why I said his straight left will be the true problem for Aldo because he can hit that and possibly slip out of a counter from Aldo.

Aldo trains as if he's actually fighting very little sparring gear on and they aren't afraid of contact and getting a little roughed up. The lay offs only help with his recovery but since he trains so hard idk... I hope after this fight he moves up.

Aldo vs McGregor gone be crazy. Conor is no chump. He's not afraid to bang. I think he can use his length. Aldo can win in a lot of ways but he's been out for so long now I'm not sure he's the same guy. As long as his speed is there and he doesn't have too much ring rust. Aldo can lose if Conor is in his head and he is hesitant or if Aldo gets caught for PEDs. Both really likely IMO.

Dana White: Criticizing Ronda Rousey's gameplan against Holly Holm is 'stupid'

So having Rousey stand and trade with a boxing champion is a good idea? :dwillbald:

She didn't stand and trade with her you moron

this is exactly what Dana White is talking about

Holly stayed on her toes and controlled distance, shouldn't get take her down, and was picked apart

and also when Ronda got her with the trip, and went for the armbar, Holly easily defended it

anybody can learn the ground came, once she defended the armbar, ronda was helpless

Holly took her down lmao and put her on her back

ronda lost on the feet on he ground, everywhere she was outlcassed, she sucks

Aldo has Andy Souwer with him as well. A LW legend in kickboxing. A guy who at several points conquered the world despite being limited in his physical gifts. He has one of the highest ring IQs i can think of.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I have not seen Aldo display his black belt BJJ even once. His black belt is suspect like JDS's. They have it in theory but I never seen them use it in practice and not using it in practice means you don't have the EFFECTIVE BJJ in the cage. I have serious doubts Aldo would suddenly bust out this mythical BJJ he has in his back pocket.

He's a great fighter with predictable habits. We're going to see him stand up and kick and box like we've seen for all his other fights. Neither fighter goes for take downs so the ground game situation is completely moot.

i totally agree with you but when you see your opponent so deficient in the ground game you owe it to yourself to make it part of your game plan. i mean this guy was begging the ref to stand him up against mendes. i mean his ground game is so pathetic your letting him off the hook if you dont attack it.

theres no doubt in my mind aldo will take him down, he has to especially if hes getting hit with those spinning kicks

i dont know if aldo's black belt is legit, but he definitely has enough skill and knowledge in BJJ to help him against conor. he's competed in world tournaments and placed in several of them and that's probably more than enough against conor from what we've seen so far. a blue belt will probably be able to work conor on the ground :yeshrug:

Dana White: UFC is 'working on' Anderson Silva vs. Vitor Belfort 2

UFC president Dana White said on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast, taped on the plane home from Australia, that the promotion was currently in discussions about putting together a rematch between Anderson Silva and Vitor Belfort.

Rogan, the UFC's color commentator and host of the podcast, asked White if that was the fight that was going to be made next. Rogan expressed his desire to see it, saying "that's the fight." White agreed.

"I know," White said. "I don't disagree. We're working on it."

White said he thinks Belfort is into the matchup. He did not mention whether Silva would be.
