first of all his base (wrestling) is the most crucial discipline to have under the unified rules. 2ndly he started his career at HW the most shallow and less skilled division there is. 3rdly him starting at 30 actually means he didn't have the wear and tear of other mmas that started 10 or so years earlier. And lastly we know how he became champion and it's not because he was the best LW in the world
