I like the UFC but the way they treat their fighters is absolute bullshyt. They get treated like they're second rate hoes. The fighters really need to start a union because right now they're only fighting for the love of the sport. For 95% of them there’s nothing to be made here. Unless you're an elite level fighter, the money you'll make is a joke for the risk involved. And even then you still just be making what NFL practice squad players get

And that is the the bare bones of it, all these ppl getting riled up at seeing 12k in the post fight payouts when we don't have a fukin clue what hidden bonuses are attached to certain fighters contracts. Hell zuffa could easily report said fighter was paid a lame figure (when they are really making 10x as much) so come negotiations the next fighter isn't like I am on a 10fight streak and I have the title, who the hell has duffee beat to be on the money he is. They are a privately owned company the truth is we will never know the truth but if ppl really believe duffee is going out to fight for 12k

This is Zuffa/UFC we're talking about. They have a history of under-paying and mis-treating their fighters. Locker room bonuses do exist, but knowing the UFC I doubt it's anything more than a small to decent cheque (yes the occasional fighter will get paid well in bonuses, but the majority will not). At the end of the day, most fighters are still paid in crumbs.
