The brehs I've been sparring with at my S&C gym have been trying to convince me to take MT for the longest and I'm finally starting to think about it. :patrice:

I do well against them in our boxing sparring but kicks and shyt idk :francis:

I've been meaning to give some new fitness shyt a try it's either going to be this or Yoga I'm going to decide by Sun, any Muay Thai brehs in here? any thoughts?

@PJTech
I did the beginners class at the gym Goldberg owns out here. Did it till i had to cut back my spending expenses :mjcry:

Its fun, prepare for your shins to be bruised up big time but at the end they become hard as fukk from the punishment(no homo)

Try to see if they have a pay as go option and try it out

It's definitely an adjustment from regular boxing, but it's worthwhile if you put the time in. Expect to get your legs eaten up the first few times you spar, but once you learn the techniques you should be good since you already have a base in striking. If you don't want to get beaten up and be sore I wouldn't recommend it, but if you're cool with that at least give it a couple of weeks to see how you like it.

I had to give it up and stick with the wrestling and BJJ, because the risks outweighed the rewards in terms of taking shots to the head. But I definitely had fun while I was learning the techniques.

When I box those guys there are things I see that I take advantage from a boxing standpoint (the stand up too straight no slight bent at the knees, almost never in an en garde position and they have the tendency to not keep their chins tucked) not saying it as a diss to MT I'm sure there is a reason for it in their world. However there are some things boxing wise they are VERY good at. I like fighting on the inside and being on the inside with those nikkas nah im good :francis:, animals in the clinch and grappling to get a few shots off and back into the clinch really hard to get your arms free to get off. I always stay on the outside I want no parts of that :heh: The same way they have things I exploit from a boxing standpoint I know its going to be various thing's they'll take advantage of in me but I'm not shook to get beat up (a little) we don't do hard sparring when we box(they know I have SC) so I wouldn't be having any hard sparring in MT either.

Do it. Add more to your arsenal. You'll definitely want to add body/leg kicks, elbows, knees, and clinch work to your arsenal, especially in street fight situations. You could easily make someone your bytch from the clinch :wow: So many options while they sit helpless:ohlawd:
