You have to realize that UFC is not in it for fairness or who's the most deserving. They're more concerned about what fight makes them the most money.

I get that, all too well. I was the only one :ohhshyt: when the GSP Diaz fight was announced.

The original point was they were building Weedman by caking for him a little bit like they do for their money makers. They do it for Connor too. I don't have a huge problem with it (especially if it happens to fighters I like :lolbron:) but Middleweight is thinning itself out needlessly and it already held up enough as is with weedmans injuries. For them to give Anderson the next shot would be my bad for the sport imo.

Who knows tho, maybe Nick will win and Jacare will KO Romero:manny:
People don't care about Vitor/Weidman? A month and a half ago, the UFC website had a poll on what fight are you most excited for. The fans voted Jones/Cormier 1) and Vitor/Weidman 2). Vitor is a big name, especially in Brazil. A Vitor/Weidman match-up is the biggest fight you can make right now for the MW title, the casuals want to see it. And to the UFC, that's pretty much all that matters.

I saw that poll i think. the rest were non title fights right?:comeon:

was 29 when Jones beat him, 33 when it happened, still not Anderson's age and the division was righting itself. A problem the MW division isn't facing. Years younger than when he faced weidman 32 considerably younger than silv and at this point Jones has tenure as champmid 30s not damn near 40 like he'll be in February .Since Weidman beat Lawlor all his opponents have been mid 30s or older and let's not do the average age of who he's defended his title against, no comparison. :beli: That delay in making the Rockhold fight is not a good look

My point still stands. A lot of Jones's opponents are up there in age.

Then you should know exactly why fights like GSP/Nick, Vitor/Weidman are made and why the UFC is planning to do Silva/Weidman III.

No. I believe it included Jones/Cormier, Cain/Werdum, Pettis/Melendez, Lawler/Hendricks & Vitor/Weidman. People care about Vitor/Weidman.

Anderson's thoughts on Aldo/McGregor:

"Aldo said what we needed to hear. He's the king, Chad Mendes is the prince and McGregor is the joker. Enough said. I think that McGregor is a cool guy but Aldo is a lot cooler. Aldo is my brother until I die. Hit him a lot, Aldo. Please, do it. Hit him a lot."

"It's impossible to compare them. McGregor has no condition of facing Aldo. How would he do this? How? Do you think that this boy will bear what Mendes could? Never! I would run from Aldo if he were at my weight class. I would not be silly of fighting him."

I understand those.

Machida / Kennedy and Souza/Romero are still :patrice:

I thought you were referring to the one they had before this string of events thru the holidays iirc but it's whatever you got this one.

those people are out of their minds if they wanted to see that more than Cain/Werdum or Pettis/Melendez

:heh: you tried to make some futile comparison with a dude who has to 8 title defences to a guy with 2 :beli: unwittingly hurting your arguement by using some of the same fighters to make that point, fighters who would have been younger when they lost to jones.:mjlol: Jones was a boy beating men, weidman is a grown man beating the middle aged there is a difference. "My point still stands" :russ:reads like a Lee Daniels type male that can't debate with any substance but has to get the last word

Some excuses that will be brought up when Weidman finishes Vitor: 'But Vitor is old. He's past his prime. Weidman beat post TRT-Vitor, etc' :lolbron:
to make excuses would mean Vitor was suppose to win, dude has been in the game for 19 years weidman is meant to beat him.The fact that he's almost 40 and a steroid user that's off his elixir just makes it a guarantee. So Its not that ppl are going to make excuses it's that this win mean Jack shyt, it's just another attempt to give weidman that rub

You got to understand the nature of MW. Like infamous said, its stacked. More so then any other division because you have a good 4-5 guys who could be champion. The top 10 is a murders row. Plus this Vitor/Weidman matchup has been delayed for almost two years now(because of Weidman injuries. The one time Vitor dropped they moved on to another challenger) So its really the only thing that make sense to match them up. Jacare, Machida, and Rockhold have already beating the gatekeepers. You can't keep matching them up against CB Dolloway/Tim Boestch types without ppl going :beli: Its sucks but thats the lay of the land. I do agree about the 3rd Silva matchup. Its the best business move but its still bullshyt. Would much rather see Silva face a Bisping but I understand UFC has to squeeze one more dollar out of him before hes completely :flabbynsick:

I did find this:

I'm pretty positive that Machida said he would fight Anderson pre-Weidman, but only for a title. Like I said, since he's willing (and actually has fought) his brother, I'm pretty sure he would be willing to fight anybody. It's always Anderson who has been adamant about not fighting Lyoto and Lyoto just kind of agreeing with him.
There's an older interview where Machida said he wouldn't fight Silva because Silva is like a brother to him (or something along those lines). I can't seem to find the interview though.

Machida is fighting Rockhold. Jacare/Romero are two top fighters. What's the problem with that match-up. If Jacare were to fight a lower level opponent, people would be complaining that he's not fighting a high level opponent.

I'm not taking anything away from Jones. He's the best fighter on the planet. All I'm saying is that his opponents are up there in age as well.

There is a 3 year age difference between Jones and Weidman, but somehow Jones is a 'boy' and Weidman is a 'grown man'. Your dumbass continues to prove why you're one of the worst posters on this board.

Jones was not a boy when he beat shotgun and em? Ok. Keep getting emotional and veering off subject with petty insults like a skirt, you hear :sas2:

Throughout his reign, Jones has been 24-27 years of age. That's a boy? :mjlol:
