No, not really. Maia and Munoz were both top 10 fighters when Weidman beat them.
maia fight was on some fukkery cause they had to make that within that fight week, fight was also :trash:
Munoz was his only legit win at the time but it was also the start of Munoz becoming :flabbynsick:

but hey, even tho his cardio is suspect now.. he did beat machida

Whats the problem? They train together from time but its not a DC/Cain situation. I think Silva's real trepidation is that Machida/Jacare can beat him. Theres a reason the majority of his opponents were slow, non athletic cacs
One of those cacs fought Machida to a split decision. Silva started off at/fought under 170 and moved up, whereas Machida was fighting at LHW.

No one believes Henderson won that fight. And Silva convincingly lost that first round before he choked out Dan. Machida has faced tougher opponents throughout his career. And he matches up extremely well against Silva.

I've seen a few people who belived he won. However, point is, Silva choked him out whereas Machida fought him to a split decision.

Machida has faced tougher opponents throughout his career.

I can't really agree or diagree with that.

And he matches up extremely well against Silva.

I can't argue against this.

Machida started off by saying he wouldn't fight Silva. You won't find Machida saying he'd fight Silva until Weidman won the belt.

I'm pretty positive that Machida said he would fight Anderson pre-Weidman, but only for a title. Like I said, since he's willing (and actually has fought) his brother, I'm pretty sure he would be willing to fight anybody. It's always Anderson who has been adamant about not fighting Lyoto and Lyoto just kind of agreeing with him.

I did find this:

"I always said I wouldn’t fight teammates, but it’s not mutual," Silva told TV show "Altas Horas" in Brazil. "We take that very seriously at Team Nogueira, but Lyoto is not from Team Nogueira, neither is ‘Jacare’, so it’s a little vague. In every interview they gave, they said they would fight (me), so I can’t be any different."

this. matchmaking is still fukking up and cupcaking him. Another Anderson fight after Vitor? That means Jacre will have to probably have to fight AGAIN if he beats Yoel. That's fukked up. Dude is already getting old.

They're not cup-caking him. The UFC is greedy and desperate, they want big fights and Anderson fighting for the belt again is a big fight. This has absolutely nothing to do with protecting Weidman.

And whether you agree with it or not, Maia and Munoz were top 10 ranked fighters when Weidman beat them. At that time, the UFC's MW division was pretty :flabbynsick:

Weidman has fought the best two MWs in the world and is going to face a top contender in Vitor. After that, he'll face the likes of Jacare, Rockhold, Romero, etc (all top fighters). Weidman has the toughest list of contenders out of any champion in the UFC. How is he getting protected? You dudes are clueless.
how old are Silva, machida and vitor? all the while a peer (with wrestling) in the prime of his career is facing others :beli: this proposed trilogy has no business taking place and it wouldn't have been unheard of if Rockhold got a shot off of beating bisping :mjpls:
