That's why I hate those kicks...that's why everyone hates those kicks.

If we care about the athlete's health that is a little too dangerous to me. You can't tap out before you knee is all torn up like you could with an armbar..

I know there are ways to defend it, but I just don't like seeing a guy go out like that.

I think they're way worse than heel hooks. Nothing else makes me cringe like those kicks. At the same time, I'm sort of against banning particular moves because they're dangerous, in a sport that's inherently dangerous.

BTW watching the UFC's overall product the other night...they need to invest some money or do something to freshen things up. shyt's been exactly the same for well over a decade.

The prelim card ends with a pretty boring fight, the main card starts with a slow fight, and then you have SO MUCH talking after that? On a card that's supposed to highlight your next star? They should be opening these cards with your super exciting fighters. And again, the presentation needs to change.

It was mainly Anderson. Machida said if there was a title on the line, he would fight Anderson.

Yep. Anderson said he wouldn't move to 205 back when people where asking him to after embarrassing Forrest because he doesn't fight his friends and that it was Lyoto's belt and division. Machida has always said he'd fight whoever because it's only sport/business not personal.

Anyone hear the rumor Anderson Silva was knocked out in training, he should still be able to handle Nick Diaz though.

Anyone else see Connor McGreggor as an advanced style of Nick Diaz? Constantly pressuring, good striking, better angles than Diaz and seems prone to get outwrestled by grapplers.

Before fighting Anderson Silva on Jan. 31 at UFC 183, Nick Diaz shared how he plans to fight Anderson Silva who was reportedly knocked out during a sparring session.

A tweet from sports journalist James Goyder started the rumors and it read: "I just got a message from someone in the MMA industry telling me that Anderson Silva got knocked out sparring in Los Angeles this weekend."

An earlier MMA Mania report, however, said that it was Silva who knocked out his sparring partner, Douglas Moura, and that he even got criticized for it. One of his managers, Jorge Guimaraes, explained that The Spider did not intentionally hurt his opponent and friend.

Moura also shared his side of the story, as quoted by MMA Fighting: "They didn't do a good job with the editing. That's not what happened. We're fighting, it happens, but when (Silva) realized I was dizzy, he didn't punch for real. He was just touching his hand on me, giving me time to recover. There was 2:30 minutes left in the round, and we continued training after that, but they didn't show that on TV. It happened to me, but it also happened to him before. It's completely normal. The way they edited, looked like he was trying to hurt me."
