ps who the fuk is weidman's manager? dude literally came out of nowhere, i will say he got on ppls radar (for the wrong reasons) with his fight against maia.Then he beats munoz who really is an overachieving gatekeeper the rest his history and now hes commanding 450k a fight? whereas jones for all his achievements and proven worth as a headliner is on 500k. Reminds me of that chris rock joke that he, puffy and mary j all live in the same neighborhood and the white guy thats lives near them is just a dentist

Right opponents. Two Silva fights. Back to back UFC international fight weeks. Headlining with Ronda. Honestly hes probably grossed more buys then Jones when he was champion his first few fights.

Jones had supposedly better match ups tho. A shogun who just solved the dragon equation. Had the Rashad fight which drama was there. Rampage fight rampage on jimmy kimmel selling the fight. Jones has been in a couple of popular match ups.

That to me is more a product of silva than anything else, if weidman really commanded his price tag and was this box office stud they'd be testing his drawability against the strikeforce alums who are ripe instead they are running back to the well of recognizable ufc stalwarts pushing 40
None of those Jones opponent is equal to the draw of Silva. None of Jones cards has a strong co main/undercard (all his cards are shyt th) with someone like Ronda boosting buys. The thing is jones is not as popular because ppl just think he wont be beat. Nobody believes someone like Glover or Gus pre first fight was beating jones. Then you put someone like Phil Davis or Alan Benched in the co main and thats guarantee only 300-400k.
