Anybody here subscribe to Fight Pass. I've been hesitant to get it because there are so many fights already free on TV and they didn't have an app for the PS3 made. UFC sent me an email where they are offering it for $7 a month if you subscribe for a year and you get a subscription to their magazine for a year :patrice:

Personally, I think it's worth it. But it honestly depends on how interested you are in the Fight Pass cards, prelims and the library [WEC, Strikeforce, Pride, etc].

In Canada, we get all non PPV cards on Fight Pass. So for $10, that's a steal [especially considering I don't have the channel that broadcasts UFC events].

Should be interesting, I guess the only brit that they are cool to sacrifice on this card is James Thompson. If that is the same dude kimbo won against :scust:

UFC inked a deal with Reebok

http://www.mmamania.com/2014/12/2/7...year-ufc-apparel-deal-beginning-july-2015-mma

Positives:

--All the Reebok money goes to the fighters.
--20-percent cut on the back end whenever a fighter's gear is purchased.
--Fighters can customize uniforms by choosing colors and styles of apparel and kit.
--Fighters can continue to be sponsored by non-Reebok entities, just not inside the cage or on location during fight week.

Negatives:

--Fighters can no longer display outside sponsor logos during UFC fight week official events, including fight night, UFC-produced content or other official UFC events.
--Individual sponsor banners are no longer permitted for the walkout or inside the Octagon.
--Existing or prospective sponsors may use an athlete's name and likeness outside of UFC fight week but cannot use UFC trademarks unless they have a direct commercial relationship with UFC.

sponsors will be PISSED. their biggest piece of real estate just got snatched from under their noses. fighters will be pissed when sponsors pull out and cut the cheques.
a good move mostly, professional and revenue generating, but a few sponsors should've beekept. like, 3 on the t shirt and two on the shorts or something. it's like a tradition tbh.

josh samman's girl died in a car crash while they were texting each other. it was a 'bad habit they had', he said. he deserved that, fukking retard. fukk you doing distracting someone while they're piloting two tonnes of steel at dozens of miles an hour? you learned that lesson you retard

From what a lot of people in the industry have said, a lot of sponsor money has dried up and with the UFC sponsor tax it has turned away sponsors as well. I think this will be mostly positive for the mid and lower tier fighters because now they are at least guaranteed some money. Interesting that rankings will have an effect on the amount a fighter will get as well. Wonder how someone like DJ feels about this with his Xbox sponsorship :patrice:

This deal pretty much makes the UFC the promoter and the manager of all the fighters they have under contract...I dont know why you would need a manager if you are in the UFC at this point, they can't get you sponsors anymore...if the fighters actually make more money than thats good but this could be the beginning of legal issues for the UFC...What are the chances that Jon Jones is gonna be pleased with getting paid the same from this deal as Dillashaw or if Brock came back he's gonna get sponsor pay like a bum?
