I finally sat down and watched the highlights of the TCU game about two weeks before the Rose Bowl. I hadn't watched a second of it before but I just wanted to clear it from my mind before this year's playoff. And I agree with you, we found a lot of success attacking the outside, but we were able to move the ball at will for pretty much the entire second half.

TCU 3-3-5 used highly aggressive fast LB's. Vance said it on the preview don't run up the A&B gaps get outside since their DE's weren't great. We got JJ on the edge he scored on a 45-yard run I believe. We were just way to stubborn. Damn near did the same vs UW in NC game. Washington didn't really put us behind the sticks like TCU did. If I remember TCU had like 13 TFL

One thing about TCU out all the games the last 3 years that's the 1 game I can say Michigan was definitely outcoached (maybe 21 MSU game no answers for the hurry up)

He ran for 40 and then ran again for a 20 yard TD. But we allowed too many big plays in the 2nd half. Missed the tackle on Demercado that allowed him to get a 70 yard gain to the goal line, the missed Johnston tackle and that big punt return in the 4th. Matter of fact, every single LB blitzed on the Demercado run and once he got past the 1st level of the defense, it was over.
