I still believe that that the main reason Michigan played badly against TCU is because they were looking ahead to a Georgia rematch. Even this year, I feel like they wanted that rematch with them. This squad been preparing for that run back for 2 years and would’ve been more than ready for Georgia‘s ass. Believe that.Soon as JJ said we'll be back after that TCU game I had zero doubt(long as we stayed healthy). Credit to TCU they won but Michigan literally gave that game to them. They had a beat UGA drill since last January. Yeah I do think they overlooked TCU a bit. In reality they were way too stubborn vs TCU. The Edwards run on the 1st play we thought we could straight bully them. Once we attacked the edges we scored at will

Yep. Not attacking the edges of the 3-3-5 was silly. I blame the TCU loss entirely on Minter. Should’ve treated Duggin just like we treated Shroud and Penix. Make ‘em play QB for 4 quarters 8 yards at a time.

Dude learned his lesson and we really only broke out the blitz package against Bama and that was usually a linebacker.

yeah we didn't zero blitz all season without dropping a DE at least. I think Minter got caught up since we had the momentum. That was a total team loss it just fueled team 144 in hindsight it was the best thing to happen to us

I finally sat down and watched the highlights of the TCU game about two weeks before the Rose Bowl. I hadn't watched a second of it before but I just wanted to clear it from my mind before this year's playoff. And I agree with you, we found a lot of success attacking the outside, but we were able to move the ball at will for pretty much the entire second half.
