247Sports’ No. 1 prospect in the 2026 class is now part of the 2025 cycle as Carrollton (Ga.) High signal-caller Julian Lewis tells 247Sports he will reclassify. Lewis is committed to USC, but will also continue to consider Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Indiana, Michigan and Texas moving forward
I'll have an article up shortly, but Wetzel spelled it out pretty well. A few things stand out ...
• The "A.D." clause. It seems pretty clear Jim doesn't trust Warde at this point. I'm not sure what you do there to "fix" the situation between the two guys if Jim stays. But that should end talk about these two guys being golf buddies. That's something we're going to watch going forward.
• As previously noted many times, the 10-year deal report was erroneous. 6 years at 11.5 million a year was what we heard. It wouldn't surprise to see it go to $12 million.
• It's also quite obvious Jim wants to explore his NFL options given he wants the contract to start a month late. He has that right, of course, and to do anything he wants. He's earned it.
But this should also end talk from the few hangers-on who believe Jim only has eyes for Michigan. In my strong opinion, he's still not over having his salary cut in half several years ago and the slow response to get him back up to where his salary should have been after he won the Big Ten the first time. "A Harbaugh never forgets."
We'll have more later.
If this is the case.. cut the cord and move on. Sign Sherrone and keep the train on the tracks. We don't have 30 days to play with this wishy washy shyt.
Edit: And fire Warde while we're at it.
So the OL is gone.
After reading some more.. it seems like the protection he wants is from his own administration. Apparently he doesn't trust Warde at all.. and wants protection from him being able to fire or suspend him with 'just cause'So the OL is gone.
He also wants immunity from firing from the results of the NCAA probes
I would just give him what he wants with an expiration date, cause you're right at some point we have to move on

Off rip?Why do we dislike Warde again?
Fair enough.Off rip?
- Didn't even try to retain Eric Bakic head as baseball coach.
- fukked up the whole Mel Pearson situation.
- Undercut Harbaugh with reagents after 2020 when he cut Jim's salary in half. (Met with the reagents behind his back)
- Refuses to hold Juwan accountable for running the basketball program damn near into the ground.
And that's just off the top of my head.![]()
